how to disable Accordance Web Browser? [sorry, wrong topic area]

I find the web browser inside Accordance a terrible distraction. When I'm researching, I turn off all my browsers so I can focus.

 

How can I remove it or disable it?

There's no way to fully disable it at the moment, only ignore it. We have a feature request filed about disabling it, but no ETA on if we're considering it yet.

 

I keep forgetting it's actually there and keep needing to remind myself. :-)

Actually, I really appreciate the browser. I just wish it were more robust (some sites aren't fully functional on it).

I would prefer that links launched in a new tab in my system's default browser, not within Accordance.

Yes! Totally agree with @Daddo! If I can't disable it, I'd prefer to get some handle on it like I do my standard browser.

Well, @Dr. Nathan Parker, I would love to "keep forgetting it's actually there." Then it wouldn't be a distraction.

 

So, I'm sure the feature request is low among the priorities if "I forget it's there" is deciding how the feature should be prioritized.

 

Please take into consideration those of us who actually do find it a distraction. This can be a real problem for some of us. Other browsers have ways to reign them in, but the Accordance browser does not.

There are other users who have requested this, and we've had a decent enough customer requests, so it's something we can consider.  We don't have a specific ETA on it yet since there are some larger things we're working on. I personally agree though it's worth considering.

 

An option to launch in external web browser would also be nice to consider. There might be times when users need to open links in their preferred web browser.
