Jason Wendel
Hello! I just got a new laptop (Windows 11), and I'm having trouble. When I first downloaded accordance, everything worked fine. After a week or so, however, when I tried to open it, it got caught in a loop, opening hundreds of windows of 'easy-install'. I was forced to end-process. When I tried to open it again, it said it recovered from a crash and gave me this message: "Error processing online information. There may be a problem with our servers. Please try again later." --although the software was open, none of my modules were available. There seems to be some issue authenticating my online account causing the crashes? Anyway, I uninstalled and deleted all my files, then did a full reinstall. Again: it worked great for about a week, and then started crashing again. The first time I use it after every boot-up, I get the loop... and after that I can open it, but I get the same error message and cannot access my modules. I'm running 13.4.2 (I think.. that is what the 'about' tab is telling me anyway)... I dont think that is the newest version, but I dont know how to install a newer one? I am just going to the website and installing from there, so I dont know why that wouldnt be the newest version. Please help! I'm trying to finish my dissertation, and I need this software. Lawrence
@Jason Wendel Try turning off automatic updates. Consider installing 14.0.9 - collective experience on the forums suggests it's pretty stable on Windows.
Jason Wendel
@LawrenceI'm not even sure how to install 14.0.9... If not by re-downloading from the website, or is this an update I have to buy? Seems ludicrous that after spending over $1000 on software I would have to pay for an update to keep it from crashing.
Solly
Your original post states that you are running 13.4.2. If you have not purchases version 14 previously, you would need to purchase it before downloading version 14.09. If you are limited to version 13, it will be well worth your time to phone technical support--see current phone numbers here. —Joseph
Dr. Nathan Parker
The latest installers to Accordance 13 and 14 are on our website here: https://www.accordancebible.com/download-accordance/ Make sure you use any browser but Chrome to install it. Accordance 14 is our latest version and is a paid upgrade since it has new features. However, Accordance 13 is also supported on Windows 11. You're welcome to email Tech Support for assistance.
