bobinberea Posted August 6, 2024 Author Posted August 6, 2024 My regular, hopeful, prayerful inquiry about the status of the SBL Study Bible. 😊
Dr. Nathan Parker Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 I don't have an update yet, but I have pushed for it. 1 1
Dr. Nathan Parker Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 This one is going to take some time to develop. We've got some other stuff in the development queue we need to finish first.
bobinberea Posted September 5, 2024 Author Posted September 5, 2024 Thanks for the update. I'll keep fingers and toes crossed that it will happen someday. When we plunge into Amos and Hosea in our church Bible study this fall, I'll squint at the fine print in my print copy. 😉
Dr. Nathan Parker Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 ChristianBook might have a Bible magnifier you can use in the meantime. :-)
bobinberea Posted September 6, 2024 Author Posted September 6, 2024 SBL and HarperCollins drop into my lap today a pitch for the SBL Study Bible. https://www.harpercollins.com/products/the-sbl-study-bible?variant=41003847155746 I note with great interest that HC offers an e-book version. Turns out one has to use glose.com to read their e-books, and I'd rather not go that route. I'd rather read it within Accordance, but that's no secret, eh? https://glose.com/what-is-glose And now I see that Amazon offers a kindle version. I'd rather not go that route either. One happy kindle user posted a video of its good features. https://www.amazon.com/live/video/038f8263289f4718b2863333e7b539a8?ref_=cm_sw_em_r_ib_dt_TqlIoOSDCj0nv Hope springs eternal.
Dr. Nathan Parker Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 Is HarperCollins the publisher of it or SBL? When we do get to it, I want to ensure we go the right direction.
bobinberea Posted September 6, 2024 Author Posted September 6, 2024 Copyright 2023 HarperCollins Publishers
Dr. Nathan Parker Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 Thanks! That'll make it easy to track down.
bobinberea Posted December 4, 2024 Author Posted December 4, 2024 On this date a year ago, I humbly requested that Accordance add the SBL Study Bible, using the then-new NRSVue translation, to its library of resources. I'm still hoping and praying that it will appear there. Maybe Santa will deliver it for Christmas 2024?
Dr. Nathan Parker Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Santa might have to give you an IOU until sometime in 2025, but hopefully we can get it done.
bobinberea Posted December 5, 2024 Author Posted December 5, 2024 I'll keep Santa and his North Pole operation in my thoughts and prayers. 😉
bobinberea Posted Friday at 06:45 PM Author Posted Friday at 06:45 PM Any word from Santa or elves on the SBL Study Bible?
