beta/rc app name and updates

I use shortcuts to automate a lot of my workflow. One of them is to launch the various tools I use for exegesis with one shortcut. Right now, I'm using 14.0.8rc1 and the name of the app is actually Accordance14Aleph. So I've got a few questions.

First, will this app update to the full release version or will I need to install that separately?

Second, if it will update automatically, I assume the app name will change to simply Accordance, correct?

Third, since I've now removed my non functional accordance 14.7 app, is there a problem if I rename Accordance14Aleph to simply Accordance? This will allow my shortcut, which opens this app among others, to continue to function without interruption as the app is updated.

14.08 is out of Beta. My Intel Mac just prompted me to update. After install everything seems to be working.

We have two builds that we regularly update: Accordance (production) and Accordance14Aleph (beta). They share most of the same preferences and all of the Application Support files.

14.0.8 was released today -- both are available for download and InApp update for the production and beta builds.

With InApp update, the application name does not change.

Nathan will be posting the release notes and download links shortly. We recommend that you download 14.0.8 Accordance and use that for your workflow, etc.

Accordance14Aleph is a separate app from Accordance. You can now download a fresh copy of 14.0.8 from our downloads site. It won't remove any of your modules or settings. That'll get your "production" copy of Accordance back online.

Accordance14Aleph and "production" Accordance can be run on the same machine, so if you want to keep the Aleph around to beta test it, you're welcome to. You'd provide valuable feedback.

As far as I am aware, you can rename any app to anything you want and they will still run.  There may be exceptions, but Accordance is not one of them.
