Anyone had success repairing Accordance with Sonoma?

@Leopold Green Thanks for that. We're working on another beta. If you haven't reported that in the beta forums yet, feel free to.

@mbcvida Hopefully things will run OK for you.

I'm going to upgrade my Intel iMac Pro to Sonoma tonight so that I can assist with testing 14.0.8 on Sonoma.

So if we have already installed Sonoma we are just out of luck! That is just not right. If I could afford it I’d change apps today. I was a computer programmer for 35 years and if my team had pulled something this bad we wouldn’t be allowed to go home until it was fixed. That is if we weren’t fired on the spot.

We will have a beta shortly that addresses the issues with Sonoma, and if you want access to it, please message me.

Same issue. Installed Sonoma on a Air M2 no problem, on a Mini Intel not working. Trying to reinstall. My purchases are not showing up!

I have been using the latest beta and it has cleared up most of the sonoma issues.

I updated to Sonoma (not beta) 14.0 the other day. Now when I launch Accordance 14.0.7 on my 2019 13" Intel MacBook Pro, I get this error message a bunch of times:

When Accordance finally opens, I don't have access to a lot of my resources. For example, any books with the default Accordance thumbnail won't open:

I went to System Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> Full Disk Access and granted Accordance full access and rebooted. No help.

This seems like it might be an issue with security and the Universal Binaries since Erwin said:

(Sorry about the image sizes, I couldn't figure out how to adjust them in the forum!)

14.0.8 is officially out. If you need to, download a fresh copy from our downloads site. It won't remove any modules or settings.

My copy of Accordance has frozen and won't let me shut down my Mac.  I do command Q to quit the program and nothing works!

Any luck fixing this and other issues?

@Diatheke76 I'll respond in your other thread.

Did you force quit?

Yes, and that helped me shut down my Mac until Accordance gets fixed or whatever the issue is.

@Diatheke76 See my post in your other thread and respond there if that doesn't work.

I've seen posts of mixed success running Accordance on MacOS Sonoma. Many Accordance users report no problems. It appears that not an insignificant number, like me, have found Accordance utterly useless on Sonoma because all of our content, texts, and resources have disappeared.

My question: has anyone moved from the latter category to the former? Has anyone found a solution and regained their resources?

As I posted in another thread, most of my commentaries have vanished, along with the majority of my texts, including stock translations like KJV. Just gone.

Any solutions?

@David Shiflet

I got the same problem. After I have upgraded to Sonoma. I could open Accordance 14.0.8 once and everything seemed to be fine.

However, I could not open it anymore when I restarted my Mac (mine is MacBook Air M2). I could not even open a new workspace. It seemed that all my texts and tools become unrecognizable by Accordance.

My solution was opening a new research window (it does not require any resource). Then I opened the library for checking. Even though all items were still there, I confirmed that all texts, tools, map and timeline were unresponsive after clicking on them. I could only open my stuffs, like my tools, my stacks … etc.

Then I opened Accordance again in safe mode (clicking the Accordance ion with “option” key) and chose to remove the library cache (but this move cleared my own customization. In my case, my own folders in commentaries category were gone). I opened the easy install and downloaded everything again.

This works for me. Hope this may be helpful to you.

Sorry that I reposted the same message many times. Can anyone help remove the duplicates?

Hello. I have now 14.0.8 but the problem remains the same: Easy Install says it's impossible to write to the Accordance folder and I need to change the file permissions. Any idea which folder this would be? Or how to solve it? I will be grateful. this is terrible. This software became completely useless for a couple of weeks... and I need it every day :(

I’d recommend contacting tech support, as they should be able to sort that out for you.

You can check your System Settings>Privacy and see if Accordance has "Full Disk Access". If it does and you're still having issues, definitely email support.
