14.0.6 - still will not save theme (color) settings!

I must be doing something wrong.

I have a workspace with Hebrew study panes open. I click the gear icon, "set text pane display" and then "customize theme." I change the colors to be more readable for me. And then I just click OK or I click "use as default" and then OK. My colors preferences are set. But if I quit Accordance and then re-open it, the settings are back to some default.

Please help! The defaults are too low contrast for me to read comfortably...

Is this only happening when you're in Dark Mode? If not, it may be that some of your settings are corrupted. Try launching Accordance while holding down the Option key and select "Rebuild Texts Settings" from the menu.

I have only been using Dark mode now that I think of it... Giving this a try.

However now Accordance hangs on "Syncing to dropbox" when I try to quit 🤣

I selected this and it asked for my macOS password - a good sign... :) After Accordance restarted I did a quick test of just setting the background of the HMT to black. Then I quit Accordance and restarted it - and it did not save the color :(

Ok, I turned off Dark Mode and suddenly the color I set for the HMT was back! However there is so much bright white it hurts my eyes.

So this appears to be a bug with Dark mode?

Yes, I can confirm that this is a Dark Mode bug on the Mac (don't know about Windows). Perhaps @Nathan Parker can pass it along to the Accordance developers.

@Nathan ParkerThat would be great if you can pass it to the developers. Let me know if you need any additional info from my system.

@Mark Allisonhave you tried deleting the app completely and re-installing a clean version 14? I do still have V13 installed as well.

I really don't think that would solve the issue since Text color settings are saved in Light Mode. This seems like a pretty clear bug in Dark Mode on the Mac.

I can't get the color scheme to save in Dark Mode on Mac for a saved session. It has been an issue since the launch of 14 beta.

I am using Ventura 13.4

So, another weird twist with fonts that showed up today. So I was blessed with a new Mac Mini (Apple M2 Pro, 16G, 512 G SSD (I'm so excited)running Ventura 13.4.1 & Accordance 14.0.6). I installed Accordance right away and things are working well. But the font for my Text Display: References refuses to change to Avenir & is stuck on Helvetica. I have tried changing it 20 some odd times including to other fonts and even though it says it changes it doesn't ...

This is especially evident when copying and pasting.

This is a bug that has persisted since 14 released, hopefully it, with some others, will be squashed soon.

They have made some improvement on it ... I am confident they will squash this bug as they always do.

My custom settings do not save. They are gone each time I restart Accordance (14.0.6). I am running Big Sur.

I tried to rebuilt text settings, it did not help.

I was on my 13" MacBook Pro tonight and it is not happening on it (2020, M1 running Ventura 13.4.1)

I believe we've made some changes to this in 14.0.7. I'll have some beta testers check this.

It's in beta. Not publicly released yet. You both must be beta testers. :-)

What is the requirement for being a beta tester for Accordance?

Basically, you have to ask @Nathan Parker. You can DM him & he will let you know what's up. It is fun, 99% of the time, being a beta tester.

Yep, just DM me, and I'll give you the keys to the Secret Garden. Down the road, I'm hoping to get a public form up that makes it easier for people interested to apply to become beta testers.
