Have you changed and then reverted back to this text? Or restarted the app? That often fixes these little things.

I have tried restarting Accordance but it still happens. It looks like that happens with ESVS, LSB, NASBS

FWIW, I've got none of these problems with these modules. macOS Ventura, accordance 14

I have been dealing with this for about 18 months. The ESV seems to be only translation that this happens. The ESVS does it all the time but the ESV only does it if I set the display to put the verse reference about verse. It is most frustrating when I do a search. I have the same results on version 13 and 14.

This issue is the result of choosing the option to "hide superscripts" in your advanced text settings, in conjunction with having your reference above the verse. It certainly needs to be fixed, but if you change either one of those settings you should be fine.
