Updates Not Installing

I can download an update to version 3.1 of "Grammatical Syntax add-on to HMT-W4," but even though I get a message after installing that all updates have been installed, the update is not installed (and continues to show up as an available update). I have restarted Accordance (14.03 for Windows) and cleared the caches, and the problem persists. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

As a work around for now you can go into the Accordance Safe Mode troubleshooting window and select Uninstall Syntax and other special files. Then you can go into Easy Install and download new copies and you will get the updated versions in that download.

 

If you are on a Windows PC, press and hold your ‘alt’ key ‘immediately after’ you click on the Accordance icon in order to open Accordance Safe Mode.

 

 

If you are on Mac, press your ‘option’ key as you open Accordance in order to open Accordance Safe Mode.

I just tried that, and what got installed was again verion 3.0, with 3.1 showing up as an available upgrade---which I could download but not install.

That should have worked. However, I tried it on my Windows PC and got the same results that you did.

 

I will email you a copy of the HMT-W4.syntax version 3.1 to the email address we have for you on file.

 

You'll need to place this file in the Gloss folder located at: C:\ProgramData\Accordance\Gloss folder\. Rename the current HMT-W4.syntax and add the new one I am sending and then try restarting Accordance to see if it helps.

 

 

ProgramData is a hidden folder. To show hidden folders on Windows 10 or 11: File Explorer > View > Check Hidden Items.

 

If adding the correct file doesn't help, we will need to wait for the programming team to release the fix.

I have the same problem (on a Mac). Any chance you can email the appropriate files for me too?

Hi everyone,

 

in a special way - Nathan Parker!

 

Few days ago (January, 3rd 2023) I have purchased Hebrew Master collection (it was an upgrade).

 

Until now there is no way to update (upgrade) the previous level - expert collection. Is this a kind of bug or am I doing something wrong?

 

In any case - I do not observe big troubles with Accordance 14.
