Import User Tool

The 'Import User Tool' is a great feature. However, I would love to be able to import docx and epub files. I know I can convert t hem to pdf but this is a hassle and doesn't always produce what I want. I'd also love to be able to import modi files, but I guess this could infringe some copyrights somewhere.

This is not exactly what you are looking to do, but have you tried just literally copying and pasting the docx into a tool? I have not done it with a docx file specifically, but I have had good success writing stuff other places, then just copying and pasting it to the tool.

 

I am actually not sure what a modi file is, (I had thought you said MIDI, but now I think you mean something else). Anyway, I would suspect it to be a technical issue as opposed to copyright, since it would just depend if the specific file is copyrighted or not, and on importing anything Accordance always gives that little warning box reminding you to be mindful if you have the right to do this or not.

I'm guessing OP meant mobi, which is an ebook file format.
