mgvh Posted December 1, 2022 Posted December 1, 2022 Word Study is working fine, but the disparity between the NIV G/K coding and Strong's coding creates a problem. E.g., if I have the NIV (2011) w/ Enhanced G/K Numbers open, right click on a word, and choose Key Number, it will display the Strong's key number results rather than the G/K ones. The Text Compare will show the NIV words used in translation, but the lexicon entry is Strong's. Adding any other version will display Strong's matches. (Cf. graphic. The G/K # for καταφιλεω is 2705 instead of 2968.) >> The NIV cannot be used in any comparison of English translations since it uses G/K coding. The Instant Details for the NIV text does show the Strong's number match, so maybe it's just a matter of which code gets passed to the Word Study. 1
Michel Gilbert Posted December 1, 2022 Posted December 1, 2022 @mgvh Hi, Mark. I described a text compare discrepancy between the NIV and the HCSB. I checked, and I was using NIV11-GK. Thank you for pointing out that the discrepancies are due to coding. 1
