Patrick Dirrim Posted November 30, 2022 Share Posted November 30, 2022 I am a huge user of User Tools. I preach and teach from them all the time. I am having a number of issues with them inside of version 14.0.1. Is anyone else? Issue 1: my instant details for all the Scripture references don't pop up when I hover over them and if I click on them the program crashes every time. The instant details for all the Scripture references in all my other User Tools created in version 13 and older do work. Issue 2: a User Tool created on Accordance 14.0.1 will not open on my iPad which is running 3.3.1. Issue 3: formatting shortcuts (like command -b for bold) do not work in the User Tool editing window. I can only change my formatting by using the buttons. Has anyone else had these issues? dmwebb6 Posted November 30, 2022 Share Posted November 30, 2022 Unfortunately, the User Tools created in 14 will not work until the Ipad app is updated. I asked about the update to Ipad and was told that it would be taken care of AFTER the problems with 14 were resolved. I'm not sure that Accordance realizes how important it is to some of us to be able to sync to our mobile devices. Accordance 14 should not have been released until the user tools were compatible with the Ipad. The formatting shortcuts do not work for me either. Agreed, should not have released 14 until/if it can be synced with the iPad. Does your instant details pop window work for the Scripture links? John Fidel Posted November 30, 2022 Share Posted November 30, 2022 You may want to consider reverting back to Acc 13. Unfortunately user tools created in Acc 14 will probably not open in Acc 13. jlm Posted December 2, 2022 Share Posted December 2, 2022 The main reason why User Tools imported with Accordance 14 won’t work on the iPad yet is because they use Unicode. If you use the gear menu to convert them to non-Unicode tools, they might work on the iPad. KevinPurcell Posted December 3, 2022 Share Posted December 3, 2022 The way Accordance is doing notes and syncing is not good. It is my biggest complaint with the software. It's too cumbersome and they need to sync it automatically each time you open/close either the desktop or mobile apps.
