Brian W. Davidson Posted August 10, 2022 Share Posted August 10, 2022 Can anyone confirm whether or not there is supposed to be an extra space between שׂ and ת in the word לעשׂת of Exodus 36:1. I don't see it in Leningrad or print BHS, but there appears to be an extra space in HMT-W4, BHS-T, and ETCBC. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Jordan S Posted August 10, 2022 Share Posted August 10, 2022 Copying as non-unicode reveals a no-break-space character. However, this no-break-space is not in the source file, so I assume it was programmed in at some point in the past in order to make the holem distinct from the שׂ. See Gen 18:25, 21:28, etc. This is a limitation with the Accordance font. If you try typing a שׂ followed by holem, you'll find that the two dots overlap.
