BiblicalLanguageCenter Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 How can we search revia` mugrash, a double accent in the eme"t (psalms, proverbs, Job). I have set up a search field limited to those three books within the Hebrew Bible. How do I search for examples of revia` mugrash?
Helen Brown Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Not sure why you call it a double character. It seems to be at shift-option-2. You can search for it, or any ta'am or any character at all, with a period followed by the character. You can use a space before the period in order to see the character if the overstrike is long. I get 658 hits in Job starting with 3:3. Is this what you mean?
jpkang Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 A correction: רביע מגרשׁ is shift-option-q (not -2). All the accents can be graphically chosen from the Character Palette under the Window menu; set to Yehudit, it's on the third line, next to the graphically identical geresh. For clarification: GKC
