Creating a Custom Map replicated from copyrighted material

I'm teaching a series on Hosea, and I thought it would be worth mentioning the Assyrians. In the Rose Bible Guide I found a cool map which depicts the Assyrian pressure campaign. I'd like to recreate in Maps so that I can avoid the copyright issues. Using the Assyrian Empire layer got me close, but I'm trying to find a way to highlight the Northern Kingdom. When I search for Israel, Accordance gives me a nice label, but not a "region." Any ideas?
