aoh3
I'm attempting to save space on my internal SSD on my 2018 Mac mini... relocating Accordance and all the modules to an external SSD seems like a workable solution... has anyone out there had success and/or attempted this... any tips/suggestions certainly appreciated. Thank you all in advance.
Guest
I know this can be done with Accordance for Windows, but I'm not certain it can be done on a Mac. If someone knows differently, please correct me.
aoh3
Thank you. Hopefully, some grace filled Accordance saint will be up for the challenge or has already slain this particular dragon... thanks to all!

Billy32792
On a Windows computer you will need to install the program itself on the main hard drive. You can store the support files (which are the largest part of Accordance) on an external drive: http://accordancefiles2.com/helpfiles/Win11/Default.htm#topics/13_winspecific/change_files_location.htm On a Mac, it is not as easy, but can be done by creating a Symlink: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QByRKadjnEE This is not something that we officially support, but these instructions should get you started on this. Thanks.
Steven S
@Anonymous, if you're on Windows, you should be able to use the Change Support Files Location command to move your modules to a different drive.
Accordance Enthusiast
Thanks Steven, I thought that the support files location only apply to the actual support module. Thank you for the information! Shalom
Billy32792
The Accordance folder (which contains all of the modules and is by far the largest part of Accordance) can be moved easily to an external drive in the Windows version. The app itself and the preferences folder (which are much smaller) need to remain on the internal C drive. The modules can get up to several GBs and can all be moved to an external drive by following the instructions found here: http://accordancefiles2.com/helpfiles/Win11/Default.htm#topics/13_winspecific/change_files_location.htm

It is great service that the largest files can be moved. Shalom.
