Tabs not working with mouse-click.

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I recently installed a new copy of Windows 10 and, thus, a fresh install of Accordance (v. 13.4.0). My issue is that the tabs in any content pane do not respond properly. The only function that works via mouse click is the close function.

I cannot:

  • Open a new tab in the tab zone (I must go to File -> New Tab).
  • Switch between tabs by clicking on the tabs.
  • Modify tabs by clicking on them.

I have tried making a new zone and a new workspace to no avail. Does anyone have any help they could offer me, or does this need to be reported as a bug?

Sincerely,

Michael Musgrove

Hi,

We cannot reproduce this here in testing. We should probably check a few things. Did you by any chance use Google Chrome to download Accordance 13.4.0.exe? If so, you will want to download another copy of Accordance 13.4.0 using any other browser. For whatever reason, Chrome seems to have about a 50% failure rate on our Accordance app downloads. The failed installations never work correctly or never work at all. You should be able to just run the new one over the top of the existing one.

If you didn't use Chrome, Accordance Safe Mode will allow you to easily remove or disable User Content, Settings, Connectivity and do Clean up for troubleshooting purposes.

In order to open Accordance Safe Mode on a Windows computer, press and hold your ‘alt’ key ‘immediately after’ you click on the icon to open Accordance.

Please select ‘Remove startup session’ and then launch Accordance. If this doesn’t correct the issue, you can go back into Accordance Safe Mode and select ‘Remove General Settings’ and then relaunch Accordance. This will reset some of your personal preferences and you will need to put in your name and account information again, but this is normal.

Let us know if this doesn't help.

You can always contact us directly at: techsupport@accordancebible.com

Thanks

Hi,

I did originally download Accordance through Google Chrome; I redownloaded it through Microsoft Edge and I have no other luck. I tried all of your recommendations; additionally, I completely uninstalled and reinstalled Accordance through the new download file.

I will send an e-mail directly to tech support as well.

Thanks. We will probably need to screen share.

Click the link below, download Splashtop and send us the 9 digit code when you are ready and have a window of time to screen share.

It would help if you can also send a phone number so that we can call you.

One of the programmers just informed that this is a bug in 13.4.0. that has been fixed for the next update.

I'm having the same problem. After opening a new tab, I cannot click and activate the previous tab.

This is a fresh Accordance install on Macbook Air M1 running on Monterey. I'd already downloaded a pretty huge library, so I wouldn't want to re-download and reinstall, if it's a bug... and not due to Chrome. I think I downloaded on Safari.

I'm also having the same issue in Windows 10. Can I get the link as well?
