It is a great work that took several decades - where the Bible was considered as a word to live in church, to proclaim and to pray. Theologians, grammarians and liturgists work on the best way to translate each verse. The result is a text that is both understandable orally and beautiful. It is also the reference translation for French-speaking Catholics...
