Traduction Officielle Liturgique (french catholic Bible)

The French-speaking Catholic bishops have undertaken to make an official translation of the Bible for the liturgy.

It is a great work that took several decades - where the Bible was considered as a word to live in church, to proclaim and to pray.

Theologians, grammarians and liturgists work on the best way to translate each verse.

The result is a text that is both understandable orally and beautiful.

It is also the reference translation for French-speaking Catholics...

It is edited by the "Association  Épiscopale Liturgique pour les pays francophones" : www.aelf.org
