Daniel L
That was a nice treat finding Webster's Bible with Strong's offered for free. One little problem: The installation puts WEBSTER BIBLE (REVISED) NOTES in the Cross-references category. Looking through the Notes, I don't see any cross-references. It's just... notes. So, it should be installed in the Translator Notes category. For myself, I dragged it where it should go. I bring this up so that it's installed correctly for others in the future.

Yes, that was an oversight. WEBSTR Notes has been updated to version 1.1 and now places itself in the proper category on install. In the meantime, (as you've noted), users can manually drag it to the correct category. Thanks for the heads-up! 1
Fabian
Is the WEBSTR without Strong's not in the store anymore? @Mark Allison Maybe the WEBSTR INTRO from the old WEBSTR should be added in front of the new Notes module.

R. Mansfield
I've added a "Closer Look" blog post for the recently released Eastern Christianity: A Reader. Since many of the ancient writers and subjects may be a bit foreign to Western readers, I have added hyperlinks to a list of the selections from sources like Wikipedia, Orthodox Wiki, and others. Check out the blog post here.

Abram K-J
What I would really like are some details on the melody for "Judge of the Nations," as shown in your screenshot.
R. Mansfield
Just now, Abram K-J said: What I would really like are some details on the melody for "Judge of the Nations," as shown in your screenshot. Oh, I know. I wonder if the Syrian church still has that or if it's been lost to history? A few months ago, I read Hymns of Paradise by St. Ephrem the Syrian in the Popular Patristics Series. St. Ephrem was such a wonderful hymnologist with rich and beautiful wording and imagery. He takes you up to the peak of paradise (2nd Temple Literature saw Paradise as on a mountain, seen even in biblical texts like Ezek 28:13-14) and back down to the valley outside the gates. Look for instance at this verse: When Adam sinned God cast him forth from Paradise, but in His grace He granted him the low ground beyond it, settling him in the valley below the foothills of Paradise; but when mankind even there continued to sin they were blotted out, and because they were unworthy to be neighbors of Paradise, God commanded the Ark to cast them out on Mount Qardu. (Hymns on Paradise 1:10) I love the phrase "they were unworthy to be neighbors of paradise." And also of interest, the Peshitta has the ark resting on Mt. Qardu rather than Ararat.
Abram K-J
That's good stuff. And he had more than 50 hymns against heresies? The one in your screenshot is really quite something.
