ukfraser
I know you can never have too many atlases with good maps but i wondered how much of 'in the master's steps' is new and how much is a lift from sacred bridge? For example! Working from the screen shots on the product page, the text in chapter one looks like a direct copy of part of chapter 22 in sacred bridge. Similarly the first two maps in the screen shots are identical to those in sacred bridge and the text 'Around the Lake of Gennesaret (Sea of Galilee)' is also identical including the text stating recent excavations in 2009 on page 355. update, i have run a search and the other text in the screen shots also appears in sacred bridge verbatim as does the image of the round stone. The reconstruction of the palatial mansion does not appear to be in sacred bridge though so there is some new material. At 88 pages, i Just wondered how much is new and who this and the series is aimed at? Thanks. (I think sacred bridge is probably one of the richest resources i have for information and probably one of my most under used resources so this may be aimed at presenting the information in a more user friendly way.) A.D. Riddle
ukfraser, My recollection is that the copyright page says the text of "In the Master's Steps" was excerpted from The Sacred Bridge. I wish I could double-check, but I do not have a physical copy of the book. A.D.
R. Mansfield
I haven't had a chance yet to look at In the Master's Steps too closely, but I do know that it's the first volume of a projected four-volume series.
Andrew Patterson
From the frontmatter: "Partially excerpted fromThe Sacred Bridge: Carta’s Atlas of the Biblical World Carta Jerusalem 2014" It doesn't say how much is excerpted vs new, however. 1
mgvh
I have both... The text in Master's Steps is same as that in Sacred Bridge. (some minor changes, different formatting) Maps are same, but other visuals, graphics, pics are different. 1
Fabian
Hello Please add proper Captions to the images in the https://accordancebible.com/product/the-king-james-only-controversy-james-white/ For example: But no caption in the image itself. I have no clue if other books are affected too. But it would not harm to check this. Fabian BTW: Again an entry "Footnotes" would be great. R. Mansfield
On 2/19/2022 at 4:12 PM, Fabian said: Please add proper Captions to the images in the https://accordancebible.com/product/the-king-james-only-controversy-james-white/ Some of the images in the book have captions and some don't. We don't generally make up captions for an image if they're not there already.
Fabian
Yes I know Accordance hesitate to add content. But has no problem to left out. In this case the descriptions are not standardized below, but explained above the images. Anyway it is a descriptions and works like a caption. Fabian
BTW you don't have to change the module in the case above. I mean only to add the captions if you open the pictures as shown in the image above. Plus make the entry in the search field. If you only open the module the changes (additional tagging) you will not see. But if you open the image you know what it is and it is searchable. This leads me to a question I think @Jordan S can answer. If we run a Research, are the captions searchable? Thanks Fabian
Jordan S
"Footnotes" is always in the Titles field and never a search field itself. Use the (+) to add an extra field if you want to search the content beneath the Footnotes title. I added a Captions field and this should be released in an update.
