Does the Text preview in this dialog show up at all, or is it blank prior to the crash?

My hunch is that there may be some problem with the module it is trying to display for the preview, but that might be a different text for you than it is for me.  Can you tell me what the top text in your library is?

Excellent call. ESVS is at the top of the text list, and when I switched from NSRV as the search text to ESVS, the system did not crash. I will play around a bit with text library order and search text used.

I had the texts divided into folders by text type so that the top item in the Text part of the library was a folder. Placing any single text above the first folder so that the first item in the library is a text rather than a folder fixed the problem. The folder as the top element of the library made it difficult to get the text preview pane to work properly unless it was the first text of the first folder. If the search text matched the first text in the folder, all worked, but if the search text was not the the topmost text of the top folder, the system crashed. Placing any text above the top library folder fixed things. Conclusion: Having a folder instead of a text as the topmost element of the library was the problem. Any single text above the top folder eliminates the crashes. :)

This was a fun bug to track down and work around.

I appreciate the sleuthing!

I wonder if the name of the folder is important, because it doesn't crash when I try this.

The only change I made was to place a text ahead of the top folder.
