Berean Study Bible

I wonder if Accordance would consider adding the Berean Study Bible and perhaps its other tiers as they become more readily available?  The Bible's web-site is at https://berean.bible/ and it is available for free on various other online sites.

The Berean Study Bible would not allow Accordance Software to SELL its texts but it would definitely allow it to be distributed at no cost; they might require Accordance to complete their licensing form but given the terms it is highly unlikely they would deny a license (subject to their terms which basically means that they'd ask the text itself not be changed and that the module not be a paid module); see:

5. The Berean Bible must be included as a free add on to any software or work. You are permited to include it in for sale or commercial works, but you are not permitted to charge for the inclusion of the Berean Bible itself.

The problem with offering it for free is that there would be developer time involved that would not get recouped. The BSB may work best as a user Bible posted on the Exchange. Perhaps someone here would be up to the task 🙂

Whether it's likely or unlikely that someone might choose another software package simply because the Berean Study Bible is or is not available is up for Accordance's marketing to decide, with whatever metrics they have available.

At  https://berean.bible/links.htm though it appears to be available in various formats include e-sword: if it's available in that format it may not actually be difficult to translate it into whatever format Accordance uses.

That said, given my level of expertise (I'm actually a professional software developer), where might one go to find out how to make a module "to post on the Exchange"?

[[ https://github.com/schierlm/BibleMultiConverter/blob/master/README.md - that might be able to easily get it from e-sword or another of the programs into Accordance ]]

To take the full advantage of this Bible the User Bible feature is currently not sophisticated enough!

The Word file is better https://berean.bible/downloads.htm. If you want formatting.

Or the txt if you want to have only the text.

A very rough version, without words of Jesus in red, without footnotes, without poetic formats

David, there's a section in the help regarding creating User Bibles. See here. Fabian is correct that there are limitations to User Bibles, but it's useful for at least getting text into Accordance for searching. We've recently discussed potential improvements to the process. The Accordance Exchange is a place that users can upload content created in Accordance.

Thank you, Fabian, for creating an initial User Bible of the BSB so quickly.

Even if I have done the BSB as KJVS it is not exactly. The Verses

~/Documents/BMC/Berean.KJVS.txt:23838: Matt. 17:21 --
~/Documents/BMC/Berean.KJVS.txt:23855: Matt. 18:11 --
~/Documents/BMC/Berean.KJVS.txt:24049: Matt. 23:14 --
~/Documents/BMC/Berean.KJVS.txt:28465: Rom. 16:24 --

are not in the BSB.

Looking at the notes in the screen shots, Why does this have 'study bible' in the title?

This is the name given by the publisher. BTW in the PDF etc. the text and the notes are one. Accordance has divided them as they do this always.

Great news! The Berean Study Bible (text and notes) is now available--for FREE--for Accordance!

The Product Details are missing, as by many items in the store. I see it needs time to do it for the older items. But why it is lacking by a new module?

It’s a reference to Acts 17:11. The publishers are suggesting this Bible will facilitate studying the Scriptures as the Bereans did. It does somewhat create a false expectation, though.
