crashing notes

Kristin

Recommended Posts

If I open My Notes as a parallel, it works fine. If I open it as a new tab in order to search it, it crashes. I have tried restarting Acc, and also restarting holding shift. No matter what I do it crashes. I have tried open another notes file as its own tab and that works fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Oh, never mind, I figured it out. I went to Settings and changed the startup session form "Last Session" to "default search tab," closed accordance, re-opened it and now it is working. I am sorry for not figuring this out before I posted.

In my opinion to submit crashes is always good. This helps to improve the stability of Accordance.

If at all possible, please post the text of the crash log.  I can't copy/paste text from an image!

Hi Silas,
That makes sense. Could you let me know how to access the crash reports? I was looking for them and can't figure out where they are.

Thank you for your help,
Kristin

In Finder, hit Shift-Cmd-G, then paste this string in to go directly to the folder:  ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports

  • 3 weeks later...

I just wanted to mention it happened again.

If I add My Notes as a parallel, everything is fine. And if I open something OTHER than My Notes (such as another notes file), everything is fine. But If I try to open My Notes as its own tab it crashes. :(

I just needed to post that I am having the same issue where "My Notes" crashes if I open it as a tab. Opening it as a parallel is fine, as before.

These crash dumps are somewhat better sent directly to tech support. The forum is mostly users and just frequented by support staff.

Hi Scott,

Oh, I see. Thank you for letting me know. I knew it was good to report them, but I guess that makes sense about emailing it.

Take care,

Kristin
