Cannot use wildcards with Flex search - bug

In 13.1.1 I can no longer run a flex search with multiple words if any of the words contains a wild card (asterisk) unless I use <and> between each word. 

 

Thus, running a flex search for "love *other" results in an error unless I change it to "love <and> *other." This is doable, but just makes searching more cumbersome.

 

Was this a purposeful change or is it a bug?

This seems like a bug, we'll confirm and try to get it fixed if so.  Thanks for the report!
