Julia Falling Posted May 10, 2020 Share Posted May 10, 2020 (edited) When I was in college, back in the old days, I used gridded paper in a green color called eye-ease green for doing calculus, and it really did cause less eye-strain. I have noticed that the Kindle app on iPad/iPhone now offers the a similar green for a background. Might we have this as a fixed background for iAccord? I've tried to approximate it on my devices, but can't really duplicate it for texts + tools+ user notes. Here they are, side by side for comparison. You can see that the Kindle green is a lot darker. I usually have to turn up the brightness to get sufficient contrast. Perhaps it is a bit too dark? Hi Julia, I had a look at the custom colour settings and I managed to get something a bit closer to what is on your kindle. It’s just very time consuming as you have to reload a text for the changes to take place. (as I am sure you are well aware. ) Anyway, here is my attempt, and also a screen shot of the colour wheel showing the settings. The exact match will be there for sure, but just takes time given the process of making a change. Anyway... I better go and wash the dishes now.... as I have spent 20+ minutes trying to match your kindle green, and answering my wife with “2 more minutes” is wearing thin. Would have been a lot lot quicker! I’m at the end of my day here, so that’s my excuse. thanks for pointing it out Joel. I did not realize that not only was there a color wheel as shown above, but choices for digital entry using RGB, CMYK, HSB, or Grayscale. Not only that, but the 'cog wheel' gives even more options that relate to color gamut for devices my system knows about. Oh Accordance, now you have set me on another few days rabbit trail as I get out my color index references and go at it. After the excellent workspace seminar Richard Perry gave yesterday, I thought I had a few days of fun and exploration ahead. Now I am able to have full color control over the workspace as well.
