Copy from Instant Details not working

This may be a MacOS Catalina compatibility issue. Previously I have been able to mouse over footnotes in a tool so that they appear in the Instant Details pane, hold down Shift and click the Copy icon in the Instant Details pane to copy the footnote to past into a Paper. Since I updated to MacOS Catalina, this does not work. Checking the Edit menu instead of clicking the Clipboard icon shows the copy options grayed out except Select All and Copy As, which only appears to allow Style Only. I tried this same operation from a Text, and it works as expected, but only from the Edit menu. The Clipboard icon in Instant Details seems to be broken there as well.

I’m having the same problem! I can’t copy from the instant details box at the bottom of the screen nor the pop up box that appears when I hover over the link. 

 

Also, the copy icon is greyed out on the instant boxs on the bottom of the screen but not on the pop up box…

 

I’ve updated to Catalina as well!

I'm on Catalina, and I'm able to easily copy and paste information from texts and tools.  Are you sure you are holding down the Shift key until after you click the Clipboard icon in the Instant Details?

 

Perhaps you may want to contact support, and they'd be able to see exactly what the issue is.

Forgot about that. Sorry… however it seems like the problem isn’t copying but pasting. 

 

I discovered that I can paste the contents of the instant details box into my user notes IF its something from the text itself. 

 

However, if I try to hover over a hyperlink in a tool (commentary, bible etc.)  and copy the content , Accordance won’t let me paste it into my user notes (but I can paste it in pages or notes). 

 

Any ideas?

Hi Joel, I was just trying to copy from instant details (using the shift key) but when I went to past into the user notes window nothing showed up. However, when I came to this box to type I accidentally pressed option V (paste) and it pasted the content I had tried to paste! So now I know the copy function works but it's the pasting the doesn't seem to be working. Am I doing something wrong?
