sfarson
Hey, I'm getting the above message when I select "Easy Install" or "Updates." The computer is a 2013 iMac. So I tried "Easy Install" and "Updates" on my 2018 MacBook. No problem. I get the feeling my 2013 iMac slowing hard drive is the source for the issue. By the time it crunches through my many resources the internet has timed out. Anything I can do? Thanks, Steve

sfarson
Only 256 GB occupying 1TB. Ran the Disk Utility. No issues. Have rebooted. Same hang, both with Easy Install and Updates.
Helen Brown
Have you tried install g one module at a time? On Easy Install you can open the triangle of a package to select individual contents.
sfarson
Just fwiw, yesterday I bought from the App Store a $2.99 Disk Clean utility and an $8.99 Virus Zapper. Let them both do their cleansing and zapping (Megs of files were deleted and a virus was detected /zapped). Rebooted the iMac and launched Accordance. Easy Install and Updates didn't hang! Fabian
Mmmh I know this mostly if I try it over the Hot Spot. I have reported a bug for this too. Do you have access to another WiFi, maybe with a faster connection? Greetings Fabian
GYDOF1729
Fabian, I went to a cell phone store today and connected to their wifi, it was super fast. The guys there said it was not the wifi but the software. I started to download this last night. It started the process and got to the 4th item and then this error started showing up. I have tried 10 different wifi's. I have tried to reload the software 5 times, tried restarting my computer several times.

Fabian
Have you, a Firewall, Internet security or something else which stopped the connection? I can remember there was a few years ago a similar case. Turn off the ... helped or to allow the connections of Accordance. GYDOF1729
Finally got it to work. I had to turn off all proxies. For some reason the SOCKS Proxy would not allow it to download. Thanks for all the help.

donahooc
Still an issue. Now my accordance crashes my whole PC 9/10 times I open it. This is completely unacceptable for something so expensive. I have free apps that work better.

Between this and the android app development I would have switched if it weren't for the Library I got on accordance through Seminary. I just have too mant resources to start over on another program
WhiteWings
I couldn't download for over a month. The new v14 didn't fix anything. Switched of firewall and AV on my PC, rebooted, windows update. You know all the usual stuff. None of it had any effect. So I logged into my router/internet modem. Accordance always worked with the settings in my modem, but sometimes you just have to try. I switched off and back on the firewall in my modem. I switched of parental control (porn filter). And right now Accordance has downloaded 57 modules while I'm typing this message. There's simply no logical reason for this. The settings in my modem are there since shortly after Gen 1:1 🙂 They never interfered with anything, but still I can now download for the first time in a month. At a quite decent speed too. So perhaps that's (part of) the solution for others who get internet timeout errors on an otherwise blazing fast issue free internet connection
