Andy Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 Is it possible to link tabs. For example, I have three tabs open: BHS-W4, LXX1 and ESVS. Can I set this up to link all three to be on the same passage without having to type the passage in each time? I understand that adding a pane does this, but I would like to be able to have more text on the screen at one time and periodically reference the other panes. Thoughts? Andy
Justin Burt Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 Yes you can! Let's say that you want the BHS-W4 and the LXX1 linked with ESVS. Right click on BHS-W4 and go down to 'Set Tab', then select 'Tie to "ESVS"'. Do the same for LXX1 and both will be tied to the ESVS. I believe, someone can correct me if I'm wrong, you are going to want to keep one of the tabs as your main search tab. Linking all three of these tabs together might cause problems if you have different searches going on in two different tabs. So having one that you type your searches into, I think is your best bet. Hope this helps.
Helen Brown Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 In fact you can tie any resources that are indexed by books of the Bible, such as commentaries and user notes, and not just texts.
Andy Posted September 30, 2008 Author Posted September 30, 2008 Thank you very much. This is exactly what I was hoping to do. Andy
Donald Stidwell Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Linking tabs is fantastic! Now I can keep a tab with my English Bibles and another tab with my Spanish Bibles in sync, which I didn't realise I could do until I ran across this thread. However, there does seem to be one issue. I noticed that after linking my English and Spanish tabs, all my highlights disappeared. Is this normal behaviour?
Helen Brown Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 What do you mean by highlights? Hits or those you have personally highlighted with the Highlight palette?

Helen Brown Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Please post a screenshot or the search arguments in both windows. My highlighting is staying there OK when I tie the windows.
Donald Stidwell Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Now they're there! I must be living in a senior moment, but now I see all my highlights in both tabs. Sorry for trouble.
