Ken Stockdell
I updated to version 2.7.1 Build 2.7.0.10047 today. I'm very happy to have the ability to read Papers on my iPad, however I'm having issues with displaying all the parts of the Paper. Endnotes do not display consistently (sometimes they don't appear) and when they do they do not display complete information. I have not yet been able to get anything but the heading "Bibliography" to display. The items in the Bibliography have never displayed at all. The "All" toggle does not cause the parts to display unless I manually select each part. It would also be nice if the selections on the parts of the paper that were selected would be remembered from paper to paper instead of being cleared when moving away from viewing a paper. If these issues could be corrected, this update is great.
Joel Brown
Hi, Ken, thanks for your feedback! A couple of things: 1) I believe you are seeing incomplete End Notes and Bibliographic information since the source tools are not installed on your iPad. We'll try to improve this a bit in a future update, but some of the bibliography info needs to be read from the tool, so be sure to install the ones that you can, if you need the information. The "All" toggle does not cause the parts to display unless I manually select each part 2) Thanks for reporting this, we'll get it fixed right away. It would also be nice if the selections on the parts of the paper that were selected would be remembered from paper to paper instead of being cleared when moving away from viewing a paper. 3) We'll also take a look and try to improve this. Thank you for your feedback! Joel, Thanks for the reply. I tested the Endnotes and Bibliography issue again and it still isn’t working for me. I have all my resources loaded on my iPad (except for some non-English bibles), so the ones cited in my paper are definitely resident on the device. Could it be that the app is just taking a long time to search through the resources and my patience is the issue? I’d be happy to send you one of my papers if it would help with replicating what I’m seeing. I’ve got the Triple Discoverer level of resources with a few additions. One other thing I should have noted related to my item 2 is that the paper components (explanation and notes) don’t show up until after I do something to make the screen rewrite such as scrolling. Let me know if you have further questions about any of this.
Joel Brown
Ken, I'd love to see your paper. Can you upload it to this topic? If you'd rather it remain more private, feel free to private message me with it, or I can send you my e-mail address.
Ken Stockdell
Joel, Looks like I can’t upload the .apaper file here. Maybe because I’m on my iPad at work, or that type of file is not allowed. I’m teaching through Luke-Acts in a Sunday school class, so I’m creating a paper for use as my teaching notes for each week’s lesson. I can send it by email if you’ll send me your address. Fabian
Zip it then it works. But I don’t know how to do that on iOS. Greetings Fabian Edited July 18, 2018 by Fabian
