Wesley Hargrove Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 I just bought the Jewish introduction collection, and when I have my mouse hovering over the BHS text, the instant detail box only shows the English transliteration. The box doesn't show the grammar and root details like the demo version of the BHS did. Am I missing something?

The BHS-GBS is not associated with the morphology database and only shows the transliteration in the instant detail box. However, it is the correct text to use with the critical apparatus module. BHS-W4 does show all the instant details you want, but is not the text to use with the critical apparatus.
Helen Brown Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 In the Jewish Collection Intro level you only have the untagged text. In order to see the grammatical details you need the tagged BHS-W4 which can be unlocked on its own, or is included if you upgrade to Advanced level. You do have the KJV with Strong's numbers which will show you the main Hebrew lexical forms.

Karyn, A tip that I use for the NA27 apparatus, which you can use with the BHS is to open the apparatus in parallel with the BHS-W4, and in the Text Settings prefs for the Apparatus set the text to BHS-GBS. This will allow you to hover over the scrip refs in the apparatus and see the verse with critical sigla in the instant details box. This is a way to give you the best of both.
Karyn Traphagen Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Is there a way to print out BHS text and have each verse interleaved with the apparatus (if any) below each verse? UDPATE: Figured it out! Not sure why I didn't try this earlier.
Wesley Hargrove Posted April 24, 2008 Author Posted April 24, 2008 Thanks for the quick reply, everyone.
