nickpage Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 Is it possible to select what scale the Atlas displays at. In other words, if I want to look at a map at 1:100000 scale, rather than the 'automatically' selected scale that results from when you zoom in?
Helen Brown Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 No this is not possible currently, nor has it been requested.
David Lang Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 Nick, Although there's no way to type in a particular scale, you can use a different method of zooming to arrive at a more precise scale. I was able to get your scale of 1:100000 by dragging a rectangular selection around the area of Jerusalem and double-clicking inside the flashing marquee. This got me to a scale of 1:102000. I then used the same procedure to select all but the very outside edges of the screen and zoom in a little further. It took a couple of tries, but I did get the precise scale you're asking for. Hope this helps.
