Daniel
Hello there, I am wondering if anyone has any experience using Accordance with LaTeX out there... I hope there is a way to cut and paste Hebrew text directly from Accordance into a LaTeX environment, but I can't seem to figure it out. I'd rather not type all the Hebrew in by hand if I can help it! Thanks.
CapnKirk
I don't have experience with Accordance and Hebrew, but lots of experience with Hebrew and LaTeX. The issue is font encoding. If you want to use Unicode Hebrew text and a high quality opentype font such as SBL Hebrew, then your only choice is to use xelatex. If you want to use traditional latex, then I've had the best experience using ArabTeX. It has macros and options to use the Hebrew text in Michigan (ASCII) encoding and the "traditional" TeX Hebrew fonts. There is also a discussion list devoted to Hebrew and TeX, although the majority of postings are about modern Hebrew: ivriTeX <IVRITEX@LISTSERV.TAU.AC.IL>. But that is where I go if I have a Hebrew and TeX question... Hope this helps, Kirk
