panning zoomed images

Hello,

 

I was taking a closer look at some of the images in the Photoguide. However, I noticed that if I click on the '+' sign several times, and pan across the image using Ctrl+drag, once I reach and go beyond the lower-right end of the image (when the black edges begin to appear), I could no longer pan back to any other part of the zoomed image.
