small problem with Instant Details as floating window

Acc 11 on Win 8.1

 

Here are the steps to try and repro:

 

1. Make the Library appear as a popover

2. Make ID appear as a floating window

3. Use NA28-T

4. Mouse over some words to make the floating window appear

5. Point the mouse to a blank space between paragraphs to make the floating window disappear

6. Click on the library icon in the toolbar

7. With the library popover still open, mouse over some words to make ID reappear

8. Click on a blank space between paragraphs to make both ID and the library popover disappear

9. Try to mouse over some words, and the ID floating window no longer reappears.

 

At least a workaround is to minimize the window, and once you go back to it, the ID floating window reappears as normal.

 

This bug also occurs when changing from one tagged text to another.

Right. I see the problem. The ID does appear - but - behind the workspace. You can find it again when you resize the workspace.

Hmm, that's an important thing to keep in mind: the next time I notice a window that 'doesn't appear', resizing the workspace would give more clues. Thanks.
