Steve King Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 Why does the text compare list list all the ":" as a difference? Greetings Fabian Hi Fabian, Don't know if you found an answer to this. But if you go to preferences and select 'Compare Text' there is an option to ignore punctuation. If you tick that it will remove the ":" as a difference. 1
Fabian Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 Hello Steve Thanks. I was in the believe that this checkbox is for the punctuation under the characters. Ah I see that what I mean that it is, is two checkboxes below. Greetings Fabian
Kalaam Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 There are additional differences. The BHS-T reproduces the Biblia Hebraica Septuaginta (although there are a few typos as this text has not been in use as long or as widely as HMT-W4). The HMT-W4 is maintained by the J. Alan Groves Center for Advanced Biblical Research at Westminster Theological Seminary. The scholars there based their text on the Leningrad Codex, which was also the basis of the BHS. However, scholars can disagree (gasp!) about how to read the manuscript and so the texts differ in certain places. uh, regarding BHS, I am pretty sure you meant ..."Stuttgartensia" rather than LXX.
