Douglas Fyfe
This is an issue that came up in our Sydney seminar. When copying from instant details, Hebrew comes out wrongly. for example, ויאמר pasted into a word processor comes out : y¥øamVr?w… )amr( amr_1 Verb qal wawConsec 3 masc plur to say [ESVS] H0559 said
Helen Brown
This is what I get with export set to unicode. Yes, the spaces and parentheses are problematic, but the Hebrew looks correct. יֹּאמֶרyoʾmer (אמר) אמר־1 (ʾmr) ʾmr-1 Verb qal wawConsec 3 masc sing to say (Predicate)[HCSBS] H0559 replied
Λύχνις Δαν
FYI : this post test is from Mac by accident, but I'll leave it because it demonstrates that even pasting ID into the forum from Mac differs from the windows. I got this pasting into LibreOffice : said H0559 אָמַר ʾamar [HMT-W4] יֹּ֥אמֶרyoʾmer Verb qal wawConsec 3 masc sing to say I set the font to Cardo but otherwise it the as it pasted in. This is from a [key H0559] search in ESVS. And it looks identical to the ID But if I do it from HMT-W4 itself then I see a reversal of the order of the Hebrew which is further reordered when I cut from LO into here. So I include a screenshot of it instead : But if I cut directly from ID to this forum I get : יֹּ֣אמֶר (אמר) אמר־1 Verb qal wawConsec 3 masc sing to say[ESVS] H0559 said which is a different reordering of the Hebrew items. For ref here is the original ID : But I don't see extra parens. My exports are Unicode. thx D Edited May 17, 2014 by Daniel Semler
Helen Brown
Sorry, I was doing it on Mac, didn't notice the Forum.
Λύχνις Δαν
Actually so was I - ooops ! Let me double check on Win. Douglas, what wordprocessor were you using ? I was thinking this mattered and it will probably change the details but it's probably not as big a deal as I thought. Thx D Edited May 17, 2014 by Daniel Semler
Λύχνις Δαν
Ok this is more problematic on Windows. I get a "Requested clipboard format not available" error from LO when trying to paste the ID into a doc. Cutting Greek or English from texts works fine. Pasting into Wordpad is simply ignored. BTW, pasting directly into this forum I don't quite repro. what Douglas posted but its not correct either. said H0559 aDmAr }amar[bHS-W4D] y¥øâamRryo}mer Verb qal wawConsec 3 masc sing to say ThxD Edited May 17, 2014 by Daniel Semler
Ryan Mudge
Douglas, What version of Windows are you using and which word processor are you pasting into? Ryan
Gedalya
Windows 7 accordance 10.4.2.2 Cut and paste is so basic and this is a something that really needs to be fixed in accordance so one can cut and paste freely from different sources outside of accordance into the Notes I know that in Olivetree I can cut and paste from pdf sources with ease into Notes. I hope that accordance will make this a priority.
Douglas Fyfe
Windows 8.1 Paste into anywhere - evernote, word, even into the search entry box gives me this: y¥øñamRr )amr( amr_1 Verb qal wawConsec 3 masc sing to say;; [ESVS] H0559 said But pasting it directly here works perfectly: יֹּ֥אמֶר (אמר) אמר־1 Verb qal wawConsec 3 masc sing to say [ESVS] H0559 said Again, as I mentioned, it was an issue that came up in our Sydney seminar - an issue others had had also, so I'm guessing it's less system-specific, and more accordance-for-pc-specific.
