Another of our replacement podcasts is now available! #140) Basic Greek Searches replaces #11.1) (produced in 2009 with Accordance 8!). It covers the four different kinds of searching tagged Greek texts in Accordance (Root, Lexeme, Inflected, Tag) and how to type in Greek. We'll be following it up with a podcast on Advanced Greek Searches.

Hi, I'm trying to do a root search for shem in Malachi. To do this I right clicked on the last word in Mal 3:16 and selected "search for"/"root". In the search box I get [suffix] (which isn't problem, I can delete that) but the root it gives me is 2 nuns. When I search for that I naturally get all kinds of results. Also when I roll over the word shem I get (ננ), i.e. 2 nuns, for the root. Is this a mistake or a code for something? thx Charles

-Start Accordance -Open Greek text -New Greek construct search -Add root, but don't specify it -Hit enter = crash Can anyone confirm this crash? Also, when selecting a noun with certain specification (see attached) it occasionally happens that I want to remove the tag. When I select the blank option and press enter the noun just remains specified (genitive in this case). I know that I can remove the specification manually in the field, but I would expect that selecting a blank option should result in removing the tag.

I love the Copy As... options in Accordance, and I use them almost daily for Lemmas and Citations. I would like to see a Copy As Root option added, at the risk of the contextual menu getting overly busy.
