  1. There is currently only one reason why I still have the Logos & Olive Tree Bible Study apps on my iPhone. When I copy and paste text from any bible translation the verse numbers never carry over with Accordance. Could there please be a setting to allow for this? Perhaps there could be an option to paste with verse numbers inline and another option to paste each verse on a separate line. This, I gather, is a relatively straight forward bit of programming, but would have a profound effect on its interactability with other apps.
  2. I've seen various posts that mention similar issues, but most were for the Mac version. I'm running Accordance 13.1.2 on Windows 10 x64 (Version 10.0.18363 Build 18363) on a Dell Latitude E6540. If I select, let's say, Mark 1:9 (ESV) and do "Ctrl + Alt + C" to copy as a citation, then paste it... Here is what I get: “And it me to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan.” (Mark 1:9) If I just do a "regular" (Ctrl + C) copy, then I get this: And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan. Notice that came is truncated to me when copied as a citation. In addition, if copying a larger passage as a citation, the spaces between verses are removed, like so: “And it me to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan. And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. And immediately the Spirit driveth him into the wilderness. And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.” (Mark 1:9–13) Notice in the passage above that between every verse the period is squished right up against the beginning of the next verse without a space. This is quite problematic, because I have to proofread every citation! I'm hoping there's a simple fix for this. I've attached a screenshot showing my preferences panel for "Copy as Citation" as well my text selection that results in the pasted passage above. Thanks!

    Accordance Font

Environment: On a Macintosh using Accordance 13.0.5 (But my issue has been true across various MacOS versions and Accordance versions) Issue: When I copy any text's or tool's content that is displayed in the Accordance font into MS Word, what I copy is displayed almost like it was in Accordance. The difference is the spacing between lines. (The issue is best seen in the attached PDF). Detail info: When I paste in MS Word using the Paste and Match Formatting menu item, the line space issue is resolved — at least for English only texts. [NOTE: This paste option is not always available in other apps — e.g. when pasting the same-copied text into MS PowerPoint. This may be a PowerPoint issue and the slide predefine formats may also be contributing to my issue.] When copying English and Hebrew text — like from my K&D Library module — the normal paste appears again at 1.5, and the Hebrew is preserved. However, pasting into MS WORD using Paste and Match Formatting — the line space issue is resolved, as I was in Times New Roman, but the Hebrew is not displayed well. Two issues: The Hebrew points are not under the letters, and while the right to left spelling is preserved, the Hebrew words are reverse (i.e., if the following quoted English were Hebrew words "three two one" — copying and pasting comes out as "one two three" but the characters in each Hebrew word are correctly shown right to left.) Selecting the Hebrew text and changing it to the Accordance font fixes the pointing issue, but the word order now needs to be addressed and the line spacing issues returned. Reordering the words, while straight forward, is a time consuming process, and once done then the line space issue needs tp be fixed by using MS Word's "Paragraph" formatting menu and forcing the lines in that paragraph to be a fixed point size, which I guess at to make the results look like the rest of my paper. Attempts to resolve: I have worked with several people in Accordance support as well as Webinar instructors — all that ultimately have encouraged me to post this issue here as a feature request (as they likewise saw no easy or known fix to my issue). I have also tried various preference changes — some at webinar instructors’ suggestions, as well as my own testing. To date, none of those changes have resolved my issue. Desired feature: The ability, within Accordance, to set the line spacing used on copy/paste and export, or at least set the line spacing default to be single line space (which seem more logical to me than defaulting to space and a half. Space and a half is just my guess as what is pasted line spacing is — it appears to be 1.5 lines spaces — see attached PDF). I appreciate some of the issue in that mix language characters may need for space. I see this in my K&D module — where lines with Hebrew take up more line space than lines containing nothing but English text. That said 14 point etc. should be 14-point text when displayed. If the Hebrew is to small then I see two options — increase font size displayed in the tool's content window, or an option to do what it does today — English at one height, Hebrew/Greek at another. Having the ability to set these preferences and have them carry through to the export to whatever app I pasted into, would be an appreciated new feature.

    OneNote

Has anyone experienced issues copying text from Accordance in Windows and pasting it into OneNote? Selected text will copy and paste fine on Mac OS but not on my PC. Not sure whether the issue is with OneNote as other programs will paste into it fine.
  5. OK, this is a weird one. I had Accordance 11, and had a problem copy/paste from Accordance. As soon as I would try, it shut down by ability to copy/paste systemwide, and gave me an "error #5 in scrap routines" message. At first I thought it was my copy of Accordance just being behind everything, so I upgraded to 13. Same problem. Copy/paste works globally until I try it in Accordance, and it crashes globally until I restart the process. This time, there are no errors being thrown. I've tried to uninstall/reinstall accordance, and did a system check for corrupt files or viruses with no success. Anyone else out there have this problem, or might have some suggestions?
  6. When I edit user notes text and insert some custom Bible links, like "Ap.d. 2:3" as a link to "Acts 2:3", then select all text, copy it and paste as a new user note for another verse, all custom links are gone, links become just a blue underlined text without any links to any Bible verse. Could you please fix this bug?

    Citation copy problems

““For if you rgive others for their transgressions” —Matthew 6:14 NAS95 This is what happens when I use the citation copy and paste. Sometimes it leaves letters out. It does not matter what application I am pasting to. The above citation had the same result in MS Word for Mac and then here again on my forum post. I have tried different citation settings in the preferences, but can't find anything that changes the outcome. Does citation not work for partial verses? Although I think it leaves out letters when I copy complete verses as well. I was hoping today's update would resolve this, but it does not. ===== Let me add this again for the record. For a multi hundred dollar piece of software that is used for precision text work, I would expect copy and paste to work, and I would expect better text export options. I am a recent BW user trying to adjust to Accordance. I really like so much of this software so far and some of my frustration centers on my being behind the learning curve.
  8. Hello, Dearest Accordance iOS developers: First, just to let you know, I love the work you've done porting Accordance to iOS so much that I've dropped my laptop altogether (passed it on to my wife, actually) and I now ONLY use my iPad. I've known that I would lose some functionality that way, but I haven't really missed anything up until now

    Paste in markdown

I’d like the option to highlight text and share it pre-formatted in Markdown. So instead of this: There is no one name that is adequate to give a complete description of God (Ancient Christian Doctrine) https://accordance.bible/link/read/Ancient_Doctrine#785 This: “There is no one name that is adequate to give a complete description of God.” [Ancient Christian Doctrine](https://accordance.bible/link/read/Ancient_Doctrine#785)
  10. Ever since I got Accordance two years ago, and with every subsequent update, I have had issues with the "Copy>Copy as Citation" function. Anytime I paste it, it randomly removes spaces. See below the text of Eph. 1:3-10. The space is removed between "places," and "even"; "love" and "he"; "Beloved." and "In" and so on. What's very frustrating is that for some reason only a handful will be caught by the spell check so I will often print and distribute documents with these annoying typos. Any help? (I use a Mac) “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In lovehe predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insightmaking known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christas a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.” (Ephesians 1:3–10 ESV)
  11. Accordance 12.2.4 under MacOS 10.13.2 is not pasting correctly between Diagram workspaces when some or all elements are grouped. I ran three trials for which I am attaching screen shots. First, the original diagram in workspace A had two groups and a lot of ungrouped elements. The diagramming symbols of the groups were shifted to the far left when pasted into Workspace B. Second, I fully ungrouped the diagram in Workspace A. It pasted with no problems into Workspace B. Thirdly, I re-grouped one of the groups, copied and pasted into Workspace B and into Pages. The copy into Workspace B shifted the symbols in a different way than previously. The copy in Pages was an image and looked fine. The problem also happens when going from Workspace B to A. In addition, I restored the original groups in Workspace A and found the symbols still shifted, but not in the same way as before. Diagram Bug.zip
  12. When I cut text (right click highlighted text and choose cut) from papers and paste (ctrl-v) into a new spot in that same paper, Accordance almost always hangs (crashing) for me. It hangs for so long I have to use task manager to shut Accordance down. Accordance 12.2.3.1 Windows 10 PS No issue with same text when I revert back to 12.1.5

    Feature request-stacks

I would like to request a couple new features for stacks. First off, I love them-stacks have had a huge streamlining impact on my sermon prep work flow. So here are my thoughts: It would be great to control how they paste, font, size (especially), perhaps even adding an underline or bold to the section headers in the stack items Copy all- I find myself having numerous items in a stack and then having to copy and paste them individually Paste images & analytics (graphics especially) Thank you!
  14. I cannot paste text from Accordance to Word for Windows running in Parallels on a Mac. I CAN paste just fine from Accordance into OS X apps, and from other OS X apps into Parallels and vice versa. While I have Word for Mac (which works just fine), I prefer to use the more feature-rich Windows version. Any help getting this resolved would be greatly appreciated. I'm new to the Forums, and this is my first post. Thanks a bunch! I am running: Accordance 11.2.5 OS X 10.11.6 Windows 7 Word 7 Parallels 9

    Copy/Paste Instant Details

Hi all, When I copy/past from the Instant Details window, I click the clipboard icon in the upper right hand corner. Everything works great, but it copies the translation in brackets and the superscript, too. I only want the reference, as if I was copying from the text itself. I'm attaching a screenshot for the sake of clarity. Thanks!
  16. Hi, I use the Arabic van Dyke bible text module. When I copy a verse and paste it into Mellel, or for that matter, any word/text processor) the verse reference is doubly reversed : chapters and verses are confused, and the tens/ones within each chapter/verse is confused Thus: Genesis 23:18 becomes (once I do copy paste from Arabic) .And you can see from this that the reference has now become Genesis 81:32 Is there a way to fix this? Thanks Tim
  17. Is there a way to remove the white border on copied image selections from Atlas. When copying and pasting into keynote, I am getting a thin white boarder around the map. The alternative, i.e. screenshot, has no boarder but is more keystroke labor intensive. Is there a setting in preferences whereby I can remove this automatic white boarder?
  18. Hi. I'm using Libre Office (same as Neo Office and others) and it handles hebrew pretty well; certainly better than Word. But for some reason, when i paste some verses of hebrew, it puts the verse numbers at the END (i.e., left) of the first line of each verse, rather than at the beginning (right) of the verse, as it appears in Accordance (when the verse numbering preference is set to 'before paragraph'). i can paste the text with the verse numbering 'above paragraph' ok, but if i then delete the return at the end of the number, the text moves up to the right of the number, and the number is again at the left end of the first line of hebrew instead of at the beginning (right) of the hebrew. anyone know a trick for getting the verse number to paste to the right (beginning) of the hebrew, just as it displays in accordance? thanx, john burnett
  19. Is there a way to copy and paste a dynamic interlinear view into a word processing application? Accordance allows interlinears to be presented/configured on the screen in multiple different ways, but how do you copy and paste an on screen view (whether a traditional interlinear or other configuration) into a Word, Mellel or other Word processing application? Accordance seems to only allow the source Text to be highlighted and selected for copying, but not the interlinear Tag, Lemma, Gloss, Translation, etc., that you can see on screen. I have been unable to find help specifically addressing this issue anywhere on the Accordance site. If the functionality exists, I am sure there would be plenty of others interested to know and an article or podcast would be useful. If the functionality is not in Accordance, please consider adding this to the next version/update.

    Unable to Paste Hebraica II

Using 10.1.7. I believe this has been noted before. When I export Hebrew text in an ASCII font such as HebraicaII it will not paste as such into a Word Processor, like MSWord or Text Edit. After being pasted in, MSWord reads it as Calibri, but for some reason is unable to find and replace looking for the font that it (Word) says it (the font) is. What I wanted to add is this, In my 9.6.6 version on my home computer, I can export as Hebraica II and it will paste in fine. That is why, even though I've paid for the upgrade to version 10 for my personal license, I have not installed the upgrade. On my work computer I have 10.1.7 and have this problem. I create lots of handouts and need to manipulate the Hebrew font separately from the rest of the text. And don't want to have to highlight and change every string that is supposed to be Hebrew. (So this is nearly enough to ask if I can downgrade my work version.) I think you are already working on it, but thought maybe it would be helpful to know about a version that is working. If it matters: The computer using 9.6.6 is running OS 10.8.2 The computer running 10.1.7 is running OS 10.8.3

  22. Greetings, I just discovered a Greek transliteration pasting problem in Accordance. While setting active tab names I copied and pasted the Greek transliteration of a certain Greek word from the Instant Details window to the active tab, but it did not paste correctly. Instant Details Window: devise G3191 μελετάω meletaō ἐμελέτησαν emeletēsan Verb third plural aorist active indicative to care for, study, practice, think about (Predicate) I copied: meletaō It pasted as: meletaÿ It is pasting a 'y' instead of an 'o'. I also attempted to use the Mac Character Viewer (from System Preferences), but it will not paste or drag and drop into the Accordance active tab field at all. Please help. Thanks.

    Copy As Root

I love the Copy As... options in Accordance, and I use them almost daily for Lemmas and Citations. I would like to see a Copy As Root option added, at the risk of the contextual menu getting overly busy.
