Along with iOS 12, there was a bunch of updates released on MacOS today, including new versions of Pages/Numbers/Keynote. I just opened up a Pages document with a mixture of Hebrew and English in it, and I've noticed that the button to change the text direction has disappeared! It used to be in the 'Alignment' section of the text formatting 'pane'. This is very frustrating, and a bit strange since 7.1 specifically said it had 'Improved support for Arabic and Hebrew.'. Does anyone know where the text direction switch has gone to?
Timothy Jenney posted a topic in General Accordance TopicsRejoice! The latest updates for Apple's Keynote and Pages include better handling of RTL languages. The announcement specifically mentions Hebrew and Arabic. I haven't yet tried them out, but thought I'd let everyone know.
According to Apple, the new version of Apple Pages should be able to support Right-To-Left languages (i.e. Hebrew), but I'm having some trouble with this. Whether I copy Unicode Hebrew from Accordance or if I type it in using the HebrewTH keyboard, I don't see the 'Change Direction' button showing up in the menu, nor do I get the extra entries in the Format->Text menu that I've seen referred to on the net. Does anyone here know the tricks to get Hebrew working with Pages 5?
A long time ago I found someone (maybe on Accordance forums?) that had created a script which would get verses from accordance and copy them into Word for Mac. It doesn't seem to be working now, and I don't know enough about either to trouble shoot. I would like to get it working, as well as duplicate it for powerpoint, Omni outliner, pages, and or keynote. I use all of these believe it or not. So my question is does anyone know how to write a script that while you are in one of these other applications I mentioned above, you can run the script and copy in verses from accordance? Thanks!
