  1. Keyboard shortcuts don't work in User notes. Command+B for Bold, Command+i for Italic, etc. (MacBook Pro mid-2014, macOS Big Sur 11.7.1 (20G918))
  2. Hi, all. Might anyone be able to tell me how to reassign keyboard shortcuts in the Current Tool dropdowns? Here is what I have for one of my tabs: Thayer Alt+1 Liddell & Scott Alt+2 [etc.] Where do I change those shortcuts, in case I want LS to be Alt+1? Thanks for your help!
  3. Hi all, I am really enjoying getting familiar with Accordance after 20+ years using BW. I use Accordance in my teaching, and--overall--I have found the learning curve to be not too steep for most things, and I'm starting to learn some more advanced features. So, thank you all. I use the SBL Hebrew keyboard (SIL layout) (https://www.sbl-site.org/educational/BiblicalFonts_SBLHebrew.aspx) for typing Hebrew for publications, handouts, etc. I would love for that keyboard to be an option for use in Accordance. In the screenshot, you can see that the Israeli keyboard layout is an option for Hebrew input, but I have found that for scholars in English-speaking countries, the SBL keyboard seems to be more intuitive and useful. My experience with the default Accordance (Yehudit?) keyboard is that it is not at all intuitive for letters outside those with clear phonetic links to English. For example, using 'o' for ayin/ע makes no real sense. Given that the keyboard is openly available from the website I linked above, I hope that it could be included as an option for those of us who search frequently in Hebrew. שׁלום and thanks!
  4. Title kinda says is all. I do a lot of work from an iPad Pro and would love to see Accordance support keyboard shortcuts for navigating and moving to different parts of the app. Examples include: Search by Word, Search by Verse, Select All Text on Screen, Open Dual Panel, Go Back, View Library, View Text Options, Go to Easy Install, Show Table of Contents, etc.

    Keyboard Shortcuts

Can you please add an option to change the keyboard shortcut for “Enter Reading Mode” from ^R to something else? I would like to set it to [command] + R for easier switching
  6. Recently noticed that Accordance supports CMD + delete to clear the whole. Only a slight difference from CMD + A then delete. But I'm wondering is there a way to delete the last item//element? Not character but something like the last lex or command? I tried some things with alt and control, but nothing did it. If this isn't available it would be very helpful especially in complete lines and RTL. Thanks!
  7. When you rename a tab, a window comes up for you to enter a new name. I would expect that Ctrl-A would select all the text for me to overwrite, but it doesn't, and produces a loud bell sound instead (not good when you're in a class or the library!) Windows 10 Accordance 11.1.3
  8. When clicking on the search field inside a particular Bible translation, the keyboard doesn't come up. It comes up fine on the global search field (top right corner) however. Surface Pro 3 i5 128gb 4gb RAM Windows 10 Accordance 11.1.2
  9. Hello everyone, I'm having trouble using User Notes. While Accordance crashes when I try to access notes from a text, I was able to create a new User Notes file and went into editing mode just by clicking into the Notes window. Now here's the problem: I'm trying to write notes to my Ugaritic Database. However, first of all, there is a 'Notes order' (apparently some Bible version), which I can't change and which obviously doesn't apply. Secondly, I cannot use the selected (on the Mac) keyboard; Accordance only seems to offer three possibilitites: Default, Hebrew, Greek. Now, I use transcription quite heavily and there is, unfortunately no way of inputting it. Don't know exactly what Accordance uses as 'default'. At any rate, it would be great for Accordance to just go with the system-wide keyboard. Thanks for any advice. - David
  10. Hi, I've been searching google & forum for a while and can't find the shortcut key to the search box - maybe my terminology is wrong. I want to use the keyboard to highlight the search / reference box so I can quickly type in a book:verse reference or do a search. TIA!
  11. Hi, first of all, congratulations with a release of Accordance 11 - I really like new things you brought in. It all runs very smoothly and I love it. One problem though: I use German keyboard, and whenever I type these characters, I get them replaced by another ones: "ä" instead of "<", "<" instead of "y", and Omega sign instead of "-". Interestingly, this happens only when I type in notes and in the search field, but doesn't when I type in the research field (See the attached picture). My specs: Acc 11.0.0, Asus X53S, Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 EDIT: the same with number 3 - instead of it I get "§" (which normally would require Shift+3). _____________________________
  12. I'd like to report a text selection issue in the user notes. This is the procedure to reproduce the problem. 1) Select a verse and Edit User Note (select note file). 2) Enter something like the following text: This is information I learned about his verse. I typed in notes from a handout that had _ for writing in notes as the pastor gave the sermon. 3) Use the mouse to double-click on the underscore in that text and overwrite it with "underlined areas" (without the quotes). 4) Right after typing "underlined areas" hold down shift and then hold down the left arrow to select "underlined areas". (after making a selection then I use Command-U to underline or Command-B to bold the selected text or use Command-L to make a link) 5) What most often happens is that as the selection expands to the left the first character that was highlighted (the "s" in "areas") becomes unselected and the new first character selected becomes the one to the left (the second "a" in "areas"). The irritating thing about this is when it happens the selection point has moved to the point BEFORE the first character selected (before the "s") and so trying to reselect it to the right cannot recover the "s." 6) The same scenario can be duplicated where in #4 hold down shift and then just press the left arrow several times to select (rather than holding the left arrow down) and then it is much easier to see that the "s" WAS selected and then became unselected. I think this is really timing-dependent and it MIGHT be related to the flashing cursor. It seems that if you catch the time JUST AFTER the cursor flashes off then it most frequently happens. For example, the cursor flashes ON, OFF, ON, OFF, ON, with timing like the following (where ^^^^^ = ON and _____ = OFF): ^^^^^_____^^^^^_____^^^^^ Try to catch the cursor right after it goes from ^^^^^ to _____. In other words, at the point "X" below: ^^^^^_X___ I'm using Accordance 10.2.4 on OS X 10.8.4 to duplicate this problem and it has been around for a LONG time. The way I've worked around it is to either use the mouse to select words or arrow to the right once and then left once and then start selected to the left.

    Greek keyboard discrepancy

I'm comparing the Greek keyboard layout from the keyboard viewer tool built into the Mac OS when trying to type Greek in Accordance, and the "Accordance fonts.pdf" document that comes with Accordance. There are discrepancies between the two. For instance, on the PDF it says that omega should be on the "W" key. But the actual keyboard layout shows it as being on "V". Also, I'm unable to add the iota subscript mark to vowels the way the PDF says it should work. Does anyone have any experience with this who could help me out? I don't know what else to do. Thanks!

    Character with Keys

I would like to suggest that a Keyboard button be added to the toolbar, or a least allow the Characters button on the toolbar to show which go with what. (See attachment #1.) Sometimes I would like to add a letter to my Hebrew search, but I don't recall which key on my keyboard it is. I realize I can just click on the Characters button, but that doesn't help me wean myself off of the Characters button. I would like to have something like this Unicode keyboard layout from Tyndale House in Accordance. (See attachment #2.) As usual, please let me know how to do this if there's already a way to do it!
  15. In prior versions of Accordance shift-control + or - would automatically go to the next version or the prior version in your library. This is no longer functioning. This is a big loss for me since I use it constantly to quickly check the wording in every version which I have. I hope it returns!
  16. I love Accordance on my laptop as well as on my iPad. What I'm looking for in the iOS version is a more user-friendly grammatically-tagged text search, like we have on the OSX version already. Right now, if I want to drill down into, say, the Greek, after clicking the verb tag, I then have to type, e.g., part pres act ind to get present active indicative participles. The desktop version handles this with checkboxes after introducing a verb tag
