  1. I Accordance for iOS 3.2.8 ( on on iPad [iOS 10.3.3 iPad 4th generation]. I attempted Synch with Mobile Device on my MBP (Accordance for Mac 13.3.2, [Mac OS 12.2.1 2021 16 inch MacBook Pro), but it hangs. Quitting the app in both and restarting did not work. The modules to update were NABRE and LSB. I tried deleting the older versions and use Easy Install, but to my chagrin, nothing shows up (and I have many, many modules). Removing saved session, clear download cache makes no difference. Now I cannot read either of those two texts on my iPad. Suggestions?
  2. Hi there, I am using Accordance mainly on my iPad and iPhone, I have also installed it on my desktop computer and laptop. Situation: While reading the Bible I usually take notes in "user notes", I also highlight verses and/or words, and so on. After my reading time I usually hit the sync button on my iPad and after syncing I also do the same on my iPhone. This will allow me to have the same notes and highlights on my phone as well. Straight forward and simple. Now, as we all are well aware of, Dropbox had a policy change and charges a fairly high amount of money for subscription. I would like to see the feature to sync all Accordance files via a file folder. The file folder of choice, obviously can be located in a cloud folder, where in turn all files would be synchronized. Has anyone solved the same or a similar problem? Has anyone the same request? Matt 6:33 Blessings, Olivier

    Missing Hebrew Bible tagged BHS

I am using Accordance 3.2.1 on my new iPad Air. I also used Accordance on my iPhone, MacBook Air and a PC. But in my iPad Air 2020 I cannot get BHS-W4 to install. I tried so many troubleshooting tips. But I have had no success. Accordance was recently installed in November since I purchased a new iPad Air.
  4. I updated to Accordance for iOS 3.2.0 ( on a 4th generation iPad running iOS 10.3.3 It is unusable. I crashes immediately. Removing the saved session fails. Removing the saved session fails, clearing the download cache, resetting Spotlight Indexes, resetting Interlinear Settings fails. Shutting the iPad, restarting, and repeating these steps fails. In fact when opening the settings and checking the Accordance section shows that the application startup settings do NOT revert to the default of off. I would rather not delete the app and reinstall. It took a LONG time to install and configure the contents. That is NOT easy when going to a new iOS device, even with synch over Wi-Fi rather than Easy Install. Any ideas short of deleting the app and reinstall? Thank you very much! The LORD bless you and keep you. Accordance for iOS 3.2.0 ( [iOS 10.3.3 iPad 4th generation]
  5. I am currently using Accordance 13 on an iPad Air 2. I am getting ready to purchase the new iPad Air. I understand how to get my modules downloaded onto the new iPad. However, I am concerned about not losing years of user notes (Highlights, Stacks, etc.). What are the steps I need to take to make sure all my user notes from the older iPad get on my new device. i sync everything using Dropbox back and forth with my Mac Book Pro running High Sierra. I was told to make sure I back up my user notes from my iPad. I assumed the Accordance files in Dropbox are my backup. No? I am unclear about backing up my user files that are on the iPad. Doesn’t the iCloud backup using iCloud Drive contains those files as well? A bit confusing . . . I do not want to mess this up. I believe I may be confusing backing up and syncing. thanks! 6. I have been using the Olive Tree Bible Study app as my main iPad tool. I enjoy the convenience of having a large note with my SS lesson typed in it for quick lookup of verses I will be referencing during the lesson. While that note is open the Bible Text is also open in a parallel screen. I used Accordance to create a User Tool with a formatted lesson in it. I then exported to DropBox and then into my iPad Accordance app. While Notes will display in a parallel pane with Bible Text, the User Tool will not. That was disappointing to discover. I would like to be able to have both my Bible Text open in one zone, or pane, in the app and then open my User Tool in a second zone, or pane, at the same time. This would be very helpful in allowing me to quickly jump to a separate passage when need be. Also, it would allow instant details from the Bible Text while the User Tool is open also. If I am missing something, and this ability is already present, please forgive me; and point in the right direction please. Thank you. Dave A
  7. Morning! I am loving the new update. Thank ya'll for your hard work. I preach from an Accordance paper on my iPad. So one of the first things I did was open a paper on my iPad. When I did, something weird happened and I figured it was a bug. The text of the paper seems to be only on the left half of the iPad when in vertical mode. Flipping to horizontal and back to vertical eliminates the problem. I wanted to let ya'll know. Thanks. pertinent info about my iPad is in my signature.
  8. Does Accordance allow for the use of Combined Resources, specifically HMT+GNT28, on an iPad Pro? I use the Combined Resource on my laptop but cannot gain access to it on my iPad. Seems I either have to open a parallel window that allows for Hebrew or Greek but not both. I've looked here, online, and in YouTube but no one has addressed this issue that I can find. Thanks for any help that can be given.
  9. I'm not sure if this has already been requested (couldn't find it from a brief[!] search)... I would like to be able to open more than just two parallel panes on my iPad. I'm working on a paper right now and would like to be able to look at BHS, Peshitta (or LXX/Targums/any English translation/usernotes), and BHS apparatus all at once. I think the ability to look at four panes would also be great... 5 would probably start having issues with screen size...? Is this something you all might be able to implement at some point? I've loved the 1.6 update, btw. -Robert
  10. I have been having an issue with highlights on my iPad. When I first opened Accordance on my iPad I noticed that the iPad seems to have different and simpler highlighting, and that is fine, so I just made highlights in a random color. However, when I then went to my computer the highlights are not shown at all. I looked through some of the threads and it seems like this is because I have not synced my computer and iPad to dropbox. Is this the case? I thus have two questions: 1) Is there a way to transfer highlights between the computer and iPad without dropbox? 2) If not, how much space does it take to sync things to dropbox? My dropbox space is pretty low and I am not sure if this would be possible. Thank you for any clarity which you are able to provide. Sincerely, Kristin
  11. When copying verses from accordance to a document, the copy rules in preferences for accordance are not followed. See images.
  12. Hi So I had just finished my finishing touches on my sermon preparation this Saturday night. I had written down and arranged everything on the "Paper". Right when I was trying to synchronise that Paper to the iPad for preaching via dropbox, the strangest thing happened. My paper did not synocronize and I still had an old version of the paper on my iPad. I tried a few more times to hit syncronize via dropbox and it did not work. Then I tried sync with mobile device and the same thing happened (it did not sync to the current version of the paper I had on the mac). Accordance then crashed and after I restarted it, the Mac had lost the paper! It was not even there at all! I went into the accordance files and navigated to the paper. I opened it and it was the same old version that was on the iPad. All my edits for that evening were gone! I however, had the sermon pretty well assimilated and could re-work it again. My concern is what if this happened just before I got up to preach? It could have been worse. Is this something that anyone is aware of? Did I do something wrong?

    Three panels for iOS?

I've been using my iPad for study now for a few weeks, aside from the major problem with browsing to switch resources which I outlined in a previous post,1 there does seem to be another super annoying problem. For me, the next biggest problem is that I can't open three panels at once. Obviously it would be better to be able to open more than 3—but two is just not enough. I say this, because my most common use case is to: "Read the Hebrew/Greek, with a reasonably literal English translation, and a commentary alongside". Because there are only two panels, I have to continually flick between resources while I am half way through reading a verse to check a translation, a word, or a commentary note connected to a question in the original language. I am guessing a work around, once iOS 11 comes out, will be the split screen, i.e We could probably split screen Accordance and Logos side by side so you can see three panels at once. iOS 11 can't come soon enough [1]: The 'recently used' list/screen never contains what I am looking for, and is often too long anyway, so searching is generally quicker, so the 'recently used' list/screen seems to always just get in the way by adding extra taps to the process of switching resources
  14. Title kinda says is all. I do a lot of work from an iPad Pro and would love to see Accordance support keyboard shortcuts for navigating and moving to different parts of the app. Examples include: Search by Word, Search by Verse, Select All Text on Screen, Open Dual Panel, Go Back, View Library, View Text Options, Go to Easy Install, Show Table of Contents, etc.
  15. I have had my iPad restart Accordance when it freezes and then i have to reload my modules. Unfortunately they appear alphabetically i would prefer having categories to add from a list. It takes a long time then I have to put them in my preferred order. If it didn't freeze or there was some workaround for reloading that would be preferred of course. Thanks, Steve
  16. Has something changed about the iPad app? Today while I am trying to look at footnotes by tapping (and moving a little bit) my finger to the run to get the to footnote pop up, the little letter to indicate the reference is becoming highlighted. I don’t want all my footnotes highlighted, so how do I stop this? I’ve looked to see if there is a setting somewhere but I can’t see anything that might help. Thanks!

    Amplify on iPad.

Is there a way to change which dictionary instant details amplifies to for a greek/hebrew word? Or just a way to choose what resource to amplify to instead of some preset one?
  18. I guess there is a place on the site where I can find how to download on my new IPad my Accordance purchase ? Right now, it does not. Yohanan
  19. In my teaching, I wanted to use "Keynote for iPad" which has helena font. As you know, I have to install helena font. I found one app, "font," and it installed a new profile to have fonts. Therefore, Keynote was great! However, greek text in the accordance looks strange. My goal is to use helena font for keynote in my ipad and accordance without any problems. Anyone can help? Or does "anyfont" work fine with helena font and accordance?
  20. I usually preach in a second language that has no English diglot in my Tagalog translation of choice. So I imported Tagalog as a user Bible and use iOS Accordance as my diglot. Super nice. But it does mean printing my notes instead of using them on the iPad. Hence... really looking forward to Accordance being iOS 9 split screen capable! Just a little shout out there. Thanks!

    User Note Syncing

I have the latest versions of Accordance running on several devices - a macbook, an iPhone, and and iPad mini. I sync my user notes via dropbox. It looks like my macbook and my iPhone are syncing as I expect. But the iPad mini does not. It indicates it is syncing with dropbox, but content created is not synced between devices. I looked in my dropbox folder and it looks like i have both .acc4 and .amynotes versions of my user notes. I assume this is part of the problem. Any suggestions on how to resolve it so content is not lost? Thanks! Ben

    Mobile Notes in IPAD

How do you use mobile notes on an IPAD while you have your Bible open and you want to take notes on during a sermon?
  23. Hi, In case anyone is interested, Word just added bi-directional support for iPad, including proper support for Hebrew; see screenshot. Typing in English and Hebrew in the same line/paragraph works flawlessly now. Pasting from Accordance only works for a verse at a time. Pasting from Logos works for more than one verse; see screenshot. I also opened Word files with many different Hebrew fonts, and they all displayed correctly. Regards, Michel

    Mellel for iPad Announced!

Mellel has long been a favorite word processors among Mac users that use RTL and LTR languages. They now have an app for the iPad: http://www.mellel.com/ipad. I'm thinking this might be a great companion app to Accordance Mobile for people on the go—especially with iOS 9's new Split View.
  25. There seems to be a display problem in User Notes on the iPad. With the iPad held in anything but right-side-up portrait orientation (that is, with the home button at the bottom), the display of User Notes (once the keyboard slides into view) is "mangled." I'll attach a screenshot to show what I mean. The text of the note is legible if the note is reopened with the iPad in right-side-up portrait orientation, so no data is being lost. If I dismiss the keyboard, more of the note becomes visible, but if I tap in the note to bring the keyboard back, everything disappears except the verse reference. I'm using an iPad with Retina Display, running iOS 8.1.3.
