    Flex search algorithm

I'm working on a research project about what type of algorithms are used for searches like the "flex search" available in this software (it is also known as a stemming search). Some other bible searching programs use a modified Porter's algorithm but I haven't been able to find any information about this topic in the accordance documentation. Does anyone know what algorithm the accordance software uses for this search feature? I appreciate any information anyone has on this topic!
  2. When you update search parameters; I would like the search to auto-search without having to hit enter or search again. For example, if I change it from flex to exact, go ahead and run the search automatically. Or if a change in scope or range is made; go ahead and automatically run the search. Maybe this is too intensive for some machines? But, I think it may be a worthwhile improvement. Thanks in advance.
  3. I want to do an exact search for εἷς so that i don't get εις in the results. I know that i'm supposed to click the little magnifying glass at the left of the search field, and that at the bottom of the pop up I'll find a section entitled, "Search options", offering me the opportunity to choose either 'flex' or 'exact'. But this is grayed out and i can't choose it. Moreover, changing the option in my Preferences panel doesn't have any effect either. I want flex as my default, but how can i occasionally invoke exact? Why are the "search options" grayed out?
