  1. Hi there, I really appreciate Accordance and use it almost every day. However, I hope you could correct this bug in the near future: When I work across various platforms and websites, I use the standard Hebrew keyboard. It is mostly compatible with Accordance but not fully. When I type in a Tag in the command line, I hold Shift to ensure English letters are typed instead of Hebrew. This mostly works, as you can see below: However, there is one letter that does not work! I cannot type in the letter "A" using this technique: Now it types "QvL" instead of "QAL," etc. This is frustrating me. Now I have to switch from The Hebrew keyboard through Greek, Syriac, back to English, and then back to Hebrew to work on the next site / platform of research. Hope you can sort this out soon, Shalom.
  2. I trust this attached image shows the issue: Note Issue is at Genesis 3.1 and is not at Genesis 4:1
  3. For specific reasons I have to have Voice Control turned on. This is different from voice over and is found in Settings>Accessibility>Voice Control. When this is turned on, almost every time I do any kind of search on a Bible text, I see the search results for a split second and then Accordance crashes. This is in spite of the fact that I am not using voice control to operate Accordance. If I turn off voice control, Accordance runs perfectly as it should. I have deleted and reinstalled Accordance to no avail. I even got the same results immediately after downloading the app before I had even signed in to my account. Could someone confirm this bug and/or advise me of a fix? iOS 14.6 Accordance v. 3.2.3, Build Thanks!
  4. Hi, Accordance has become unresponsive. I'm trying to search BDAG, but the search no longer completes. (I have done many searches this way previously.) Symptoms: 1. Typing in the search box and hitting the "Enter" key no longer updates the window. 2. Backspace through the search field sometimes stops part way - the earlier part of the search text cannot be deleted. 3. Clicking "x" in the top-right corner doesn't close the application. I need to force-quit Accordance via cmd-alt-del. This used to solve the problem at the expense of a corrupted session, but at least I could start from a clean slate. Now, these symptoms persist even across force-quit + relaunch. 4. The menu bar is unresponsive. When I click on "File" etc to try to open a different session, no menu appears. I rebooted the machine, uninstalled Accordance and re-installed Accordance. The problem is still there. How do I get Accordance up and running again? Accordance Version: 13.1.4 System: Windows 10, Lenovo laptop.
  5. For a long time (going back to Acc. 12 at least) the "Open saved workspaces" icon on the toolbar has always been unreliable. Usually when I click on it, then select a workspace, nothing happens. For this reason—although I've never reported it—I've pretty much given up trying to use it. I take the longer but more reliable route of going to File => Open workspace. Now, however, even that isn't working regularly. Several times over the last few weeks, I've had to go through the finder on my Mac and open it in the Accordance files. Am I the only one experiencing this? Or is it something others have seen? At any rate, it would be nice to have that fixed! Thanks!
  6. Accordance crashes every time I try to amplify a scripture reference to a saved workspace IF there is even one tool in that workspace that does not return a hit for that reference. Let me explain, I have a number of saved workspaces that I used all the time in Acc 12. Some of these workspaces were made up of only my favorite commentaries. Now with Acc13, when I amplify to one of these workspaces, it crashes if the verse reference is not found in one of those commentaries. For instance, I still have the old ZIBBCNT that lacks the Gospel of John and so if I amplify a verse reference from John to that workspace, it crashes (even though the reference was found in all the other commentaries). I have tested this with multiple commentaries and verse references; it crashes every time one of the tools does not return a hit. This has been a consistent bug since I updated to Accordance 13, but I didn't get a chance to diagnose it until today. Can someone confirm this as a bug or help me fix the problem? (Not a time-sensitive emergency - enjoy the Christmas season!) (Accordance 13.0.2)
  7. I love the new iOS redesign and especially the shortcut keys. However, whenever I load next/previous text via the shortcut keys (ctrl -/+) the text resets to Gen. 1:1 instead of staying at the current verse as it would if I manually switched texts. If I have a secondary window and switch it's text version (ctrl shift -/+) it stays at the current verse as expected. Is this a bug, or is there a reason for this behavior?
  8. I was helping a friend, Accordance 12.3.3 non-MAS on macOS. It crashed hard upon launch, reset some prefs and removing all auto-saved sessions made it possible to launch Accordance again. But: The Easy install/Content updates window (mis)behaves weirdly: If there are updates, I was able to download/install them, as I could press Enter for "Download" and "Install". But if I try to click anything using the mouse, I just get this error beep/sound (like if you're trying to click something that's impossible to click). It's so stuck, I had to Force Quit to quit Accordance. (Though the app didn't really hang, I just could not get out of the Easy install/Updates window. (Clicking red close X in top left did not work either.) Any hints on what to check?
  9. Holding down the Command Key when scrolling a Bible passage temporarily suspends the tied panes from automatically updating; but this is not working with Text Browser panes. Can someone confirm this bug, or do I need to adjust something in the settings?
  10. When I search for a word in a Bible text, I need to be able to scroll past the last verse so that the second pane can show the information for the last verse of the search results. Instead, when I scroll to the last verse and then release, it bounces back to fill the white space in the bottom of the pane, which makes the parallel pane jump back to the previous verse. The only way to make the second pane sync to the last verse is to make the 1st pane so small that it doesn't bounce back after scrolling. See this video for an explanation of my problem: https://www.dropbox.com/s/gmvqa1qxno8620w/Acc%20iOS%20Scroll%20Sync%20Bug.MOV?dl=0
  11. If I search for +βαπτω in the Greek Bible (LXX + GNT), the hit on I Peter 3:21 is out of order. It appears between Acts and Romans (see first screen shot). The error persists if I remove the parallel ESV pane. It persists if I only search for βαπτισμα. The order is correct if I search in NA28. If I search for αντιτυπος, the order is still incorrect when searching the Greek Bible but is correct with NA28. Things get really interesting if I search for υπομιμνησκω. (See second screen shot.) The order of verses is Luke, John, 2Pet, 3John, Jude, 2Tim, Titus. I am running Accordance 12.2.9 under MacOS 10.13.5.

    two errors?

I'm trying to study how the genitiv is used as a direct object. To the right in the picture below you can see my construct setup. Both instances Accordance provides (although there should be many many more... ) has an error. The blue circle in the picture shows how an improper preposition gets by my construct search which is specified not to include prepositions. The red circle shows that a genitiv is not recognized although that genitiv is exactly what I try to find. On top of this there should be listed a numerous more matches from my search... I dont know - is this bugs or is it me not not using the module right?
  13. Grace and Peace OakTree Software, How are you? I just upgraded to the full version of Accordance 12 from a fresh installation of the Lite version, and I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the issue I'm addressing, yet I thought I should mention it. So then, I customized the Toolbar, yet it continues to return to the default arrangement when I close one workspace and open another, or when I Quit Accordance and relaunch it. That's about it. Please help, or if this is really a bug others are experiencing, please put this on the list of bugs to swat. Thank you!

    Set up problems

So I have just downloaded Accordance on a new computer(Windows)(had Accordance on another computer where it worked fine).I downloaded Accordance and after I installed it it crashed every time I tried to open it. I saw in other forums that people who had the same problem downloaded the 12.0.6 version and then it worked perfectly. So I did that, but now Accordance would not open. So I tried "Safe mode" and checked "Remove Setup Session". It worked, and it continued to the registration page, where I had to sign in. I did that but when I pressed "Continue" Accordance shut down and a message popped up saying that a problem caused it to shut down. Now I do not know what to do? I do not know if it is a bug or if there is something wrong with my computer?
  15. I have GNT28-T open, and I try to open a second pane in a NT commentary (I tried NIGCT and WBC-NT). I always have a crash, either as soon as I open the second pane, or when I try to scroll it. It is not a hard crash: Accordance is able to send a message that says: Accordance has unfortunately crashed, and refers to the crash message in the console. Here comes the message: Accordance Crash Log 16/06/17, 09:26:34 Program Version: 12.1.0 (12.1.0) OS Version: 10.12.6 Message: Access violation Address: $0000000102BA7AFE Backtrace: 0 acord 0x0000000102ba7afe acord + 2591486 1 acord 0x0000000102ba760d acord + 2590221 2 acord 0x0000000102ba8521 acord + 2594081 3 acord 0x0000000102f6c8bc acord + 6543548 4 AppKit 0x00007fffc6fecf99 -[NSView _drawRect:clip:] + 2276 5 AppKit 0x00007fffc703cf2f -[NSView _recursiveDisplayAllDirtyWithLockFocus:visRect:] + 1753 6 AppKit 0x00007fffc6feaad2 -[NSView _recursiveDisplayRectIfNeededIgnoringOpacity:isVisibleRect:rectIsVisibleRectForView:topView:] + 837 7 AppKit 0x00007fffc6feb6d1 -[NSView _recursiveDisplayRectIfNeededIgnoringOpacity:isVisibleRect:rectIsVisibleRectForView:topView:] + 3908 8 AppKit 0x00007fffc6feb6d1 -[NSView _recursiveDisplayRectIfNeededIgnoringOpacity:isVisibleRect:rectIsVisibleRectForView:topView:] + 3908 9 AppKit 0x00007fffc6feb6d1 -[NSView _recursiveDisplayRectIfNeededIgnoringOpacity:isVisibleRect:rectIsVisibleRectForView:topView:] + 3908 10 AppKit 0x00007fffc6fea2af -[NSThemeFrame _recursiveDisplayRectIfNeededIgnoringOpacity:isVisibleRect:rectIsVisibleRectForView:topView:] + 334 11 AppKit 0x00007fffc6fe86d8 -[NSView _displayRectIgnoringOpacity:isVisibleRect:rectIsVisibleRectForView:] + 2452 12 AppKit 0x00007fffc6fe3fca -[NSView displayIfNeeded] + 1748 13 AppKit 0x00007fffc6fe38db -[NSWindow displayIfNeeded] + 230 14 AppKit 0x00007fffc7743cb4 ___NSWindowGetDisplayCycleObserver_block_invoke.6228 + 277 15 AppKit 0x00007fffc6fe33b9 __37+[NSDisplayCycle currentDisplayCycle]_block_invoke + 454 16 QuartzCore 0x00007fffcf286da6 _ZN2CA11Transaction19run_commit_handlersE18CATransactionPhase + 46 Binaries: 0x000000000292f000 /Applications/Accordance.app/Contents/MacOS/acord 0x00000001035dd000 /Applications/Accordance.app/Contents/Frameworks/Sparkle.framework/Versions/A/Sparkle 0x0000000103664000 /Applications/Accordance.app/Contents/Frameworks/ObjectiveDropboxOfficial.framework/Versions/A/ObjectiveDropboxOfficial 0x000000010f538000 cl_kernels 0x000000010deaf000 cl_kernels
  16. Hello, I came across something curious while doing some text criticism in Deut. 5:21. The BHS text prepends a Dalet to תִתְאַוֶּה whereas the WMT does not. I called a fellow seminary student and he did not have the differences in his BHS accordance module. After a little more digging, we discovered he has BHS 1.4 and I have BHS 1.5. It appears in the new module that the text critical markers in the actual BHS text are messed up. The error occurs with leading letters when a set of letters highlights a range in the text. The leading letter renders as a hebrew letter instead of an english letter. See the attached images for examples. The text is pasted below. Deut 5:21 - ד before תִתְאַוֶּה should be English d. Deut 24:17 - א before יָתוֹם should be English a. I'll send in a text correction as well, but this is a pretty significant problem with the text if it is widespread. I think I remember seeing something similar in Ruth, but I can't remember which verse.
  17. Hi, I wonder if anybody else is having this same issue since updating to iOS 2.0. When I try to select a different text to read in the parallel text pane, the app immediately crashes. For example, while reading in BHS-T, the default parallel text is also BHS-T. However, if I try to switch to the NRSV or the LXX by tapping the module selector, the app crashes immediately.

    Favorite workspaces don

When I try to open a saved workspace, either from the My Workspaces folder in the library or the File > Open Workspace menu, Accordance presents me with a file picker dialog box with the caption “Where is the file ‘[Workspace]’?” This happens for the pre-defined favorites that ship with Accordance and any custom workspaces I have saved. It doesn’t seem to matter where they are, whether they are in ~/Documents/Accordance Files or ~/Documents/Accordance Files/User Workspaces. I assume this is a bug. If it’s by design, there is no point in having favorite workspaces in the Library, because you get exactly the same behavior (minus the “Where is” message) from File > Open …. Accordance 11.0.3 MacOS 10.10.1
  19. This problem seems to be related to the new Quick Entry in v.11. When I type in a range of verses and it spans books, if I don't include spaces on either side of the dash it seems like quick entry tries to match all Bible books that start with a 1, 2, or 3 depending on what I'm typing. Notice in the screenshots below that if I type "Ex 40:34-Lev 1" it brings up the books that start with "1", "Ex 40:34-Lev 2" brings up the books that start with "2", etc. If I put a space on either side of the dash it works as I would expect it to Not sure if this is a bug (seems that way) or was designed that way (hope not). Please look into it and thanks!
  20. I'm having issues with the Cardo font in 1.7.1 on my iPad. It appears the line height's aren't registering properly. Changing the leading setting doesn't correct the issue. Upon further inspection I'm having the same issue with at least one other font: New Athena Unicode. Maybe a problem with certain unicode fonts?

    Minor Notes bugs

Windows 7 SP1, Acc 11.0.1 When I click to add a new note, this is what I get (see the attached pic). Everything works well, just the display looks buggy until I resize it (Notes window) - then things get into their normal positioning. Also, when I open notes for the first time (dialog box opens, and I have to choose which notes file to use), notes open in a background (behind Accordance main window) and thus I have to go down with my mouse to the taskbar in order to bring notes to the front - would be nice if this would happen automatically (this is probably a bug as well).
  22. Upon upgrading to 1.7.6 on an iPad 4 with iOS 8.0.2, Accordance refused to launch. After selecting all of the possible options in Settings to reset, erase, etc., and with no effect, I deleted Accordance and reinstalled it. It worked again. Today I changed the font of the text, from Helvetica (default) to Georgia, and from 18 (default) to 21. The changes were not reflected immediately upon leaving settings, so I closed the app to restart. It now continually crashes. Only option left (after trying all of the others) is to delete and reinstall again. I imagine that this is a bug.
  23. When the Instant Details pane is not displayed and I click on a verse reference in any of my Hebrew tools the following popup is displayed: If the Instant Details pane is displayed just hovering a verse reference results in the same popup. This seems oddly similar to the possible bug I reported yesterday that Helen confirmed for me but they may not be related.
  24. I have created Latvian Bible module. For the Text display I've set Georgia font, but whenever I open Latvian Bible, it is shown with the Helvetica font, regardless of font settings. (Accordance for Mac shows Latvian text correctly with Georgia font.) Please fix this bug in Accordance for iOS. P.S. And while you are at it, could you please also improve application launch splash screen? Every time I open Accordance on my iPad 4 (and iPhone 5), it shows that splash screen and then enlarges it at the top to cover the status bar (cellular network name, WiFi icon, clock, battery status). Could you cover this bar all at once when you show the splash screen? It's kind of irritating to see it always jumping up to cover it…. :-)
