  1. I'd like to put in a request for Accordance to add the Module, "Greek for the Rest of Us: Essentials of Biblical Greek" (2nd Edition) by William D. Mounce. It is an excellent textbook for Greek beginners, especially those learning to use tools like Accordance to study the Greek text of the Scriptures. I present four reasons for this request: 1. This textbook is used in every "Greek Tools for Biblical Interpretation" class at Fuller Theological Seminary. This is a required text in a (for most students) required class. Moreover, Fuller ask all their students to acquire and use Accordance Bible Software, specifically, which is how I came to own this program. 2. Logos has this book available, why shouldn't Accordance? Especially considering that Bill Mounce uses Accordance as his primary Bible software! And the book specifically endorses Accordance! 3. There are many other Mounce resources readily available in Accordance, including more thorough grammars. Why shouldn't this Bible-software-focused, and extremely accessible, introductory textbook be included as an option for students and laypeople who want to use Accordance to go deeper into the biblical languages? I'd also like to request the companion textbook, "Hebrew for the Rest of Us: Using Hebrew Tools Without Mastering Biblical Hebrew" by Lee M. Fields. I already own Greek for the Rest of Us on Kindle, but I would buy it again if it were on Accordance, just for the added value of having it integrated into my bible software.

    Mounce's MBG missing the index

Hi there I just noticed that my version of Mounce’s Morphology of Biblical Greek doesn't have the index. The printed book has it, but my digital version doesn't. I watched a review of the same resource, but from the competition, and in that digital version, the index is included. It seems that according to accordancebible.com the index is part of the resource, but at least in my version isn't showing up. "An index of all words in the New Testament with their morphological category." (https://www.accordancebible.com/product/morphology-of-biblical-greek/) I wonder if is it only me or someone else is having the same problem? Cheers Carlos
  3. I have Mounce's BBG Workbook 4th Edition. I would be nice to be able to actually write in the workbook. As it is, a paper copy in more useful. The clickable footnotes and Scripture reference are nice though Thank you, Michele
  4. Zondervan just updated the Basics of Biblical Hebrew and Basics of Biblical Greek by Van Pelt and Mounce: https://www.amazon.com/Basics-Biblical-Hebrew-Grammar-Third/dp/031053349X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1550775107&sr=8-1&keywords=basics+of+biblical+hebrew https://www.amazon.com/Basics-Biblical-Greek-Grammar-Fourth/dp/0310537436/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1550775111&sr=8-2&keywords=basics+of+biblical+greek Are there any plans to update these?
  5. Now that Bill Mounce's "Basics of Biblical Greek" is out (4th edition) and its corresponding workbook, when might you all update the current Accordance version? I am teaching this class next semester, and I would like to use My Accordance in the classroom, if the 4th edition will be up and running before September.
  6. The Kohlenberger/Mounce Hebrew dictionary sometimes pulls up the wrong definitions. Here are some examples: Genesis 1:11 - עַל - Accordance defines this as "upon, over above." KM defines this as "Most High." Genesis 1:22 - וַיְבָרֶךְ - Accordance defines this as "to bless." KM defines this as "to kneel down" or "to make kneel." Genesis 1:22 - וּרְבוּ - Accordance: "to be many, great." KM: "Greater Sidon" Genesis 1:26 and 1:28 - בִדְגַת - Accordance "fish" (noun). KM: "to increase, multiply." This also happens here: Genesis 2:3 - וַיְקַדֵּשׁ Genesis 2:5 - שִׂיחַ Genesis 2:7 - בְּאַפָּיו and חַיָּה Genesis 2:9 and 2:17 - טוֹב Genesis 2:18 - עֵזֶר - KM mentions "help," but seems to mention it as a cross reference. The main definition seems to be "Ezer." Genesis 23:12 - וַיִּשְׁתַּ֙חוּ֙ I'm using Accordance version 2.4.3 for iOS.
  7. The product details for the Mounce Study Bundle state that the items are compatible with Acc 9 and 10. Is the Bundle also compatible with Acc 11?
  8. Bill Mounce on his Teknia web site has announced the completion of Foundational Greek and the screen casts in Accordance 11. Is this going to be a module that can be purchased, will it be similar to your Podcasts? Will it be backwardly compatible with Ver 10?

    Mounce

I'm considering adding this module to my library and would like to hear from those of you who have it what you think about it. I'm a total novice with the original languages and mostly rely on keyed texts to understand more about the underlying Hebrew and Greek words. This looks like an excellent resource that is suitable to where I'm at as a novice. Thoughts?
  10. When I click on the NIV link in an entry in the Mounce Greek or Hebrew dictionaries I get the message 'This hyperlink cannot be shown because the module "NIV11-GK" is not installed. For the NIV I have NIV11 installed, but not NIV11-GK; however, I do have NIV-G/K installed (the 1984 version of the NIV, with G/K numbers). Is there a reason why the Mounce dictionaries do not provide links to the NIV-G/K module? Are there other modules with Strongs or G/K numbers that do not have links? Is there a way for me to link to my NIV text from these dictionaries?
