    CNTTS Lacunae meaning

To anyone who is familiar with the CNTTS, I am having some confusion concerning the meaning of "Lacunae." I know that Lacunae means that "the manuscript is not extant for this reading or passage," but I am unsure how it differs from OM (Omit, the base reading is omitted). Thank you for any help anyone can provide. Sincerely, Kristin
