  1. There is currently only one reason why I still have the Logos & Olive Tree Bible Study apps on my iPhone. When I copy and paste text from any bible translation the verse numbers never carry over with Accordance. Could there please be a setting to allow for this? Perhaps there could be an option to paste with verse numbers inline and another option to paste each verse on a separate line. This, I gather, is a relatively straight forward bit of programming, but would have a profound effect on its interactability with other apps.
  2. Hi, I select portion of text in NAC, right-click > Copy As > Bibliography. Paste in Pages — nothing is pasted. Go to Edit menu > Paste — nothing. Try to copy as Citation. Also only selected commentary text is pasted, no Bibliography. The same with NICOT. Accorance 13.1.5. MacOS 11.1.
  3. Hi all. After recently upgrading Accordance and my iMac, I've found I can no longer copy bibliographical information from tools (e.g. commentaries like the BST New Testament series). Previously, I was able to do this with all my tools. Currently running Accordance 13.0.05 and MacOS 10.15.6. If I try to copy the bibliographical information on its own (Copy As > Bibliography), my clipboard remains blank and there's nothing to paste in Pages. I've also tried pasting in Notes, Text Editor and even the search bar on Chrome. There's nothing there. If I try to copy a text from a tool as a citation (Copy As > Citation), I used to get bibliographical information. Now, all I get is the hyperlink to the Accordance reference. I've looked at the bibliography settings, and can't find anything amiss. Settings screenshot attached. Help appreciated. Thanks heaps.
  4. I've seen various posts that mention similar issues, but most were for the Mac version. I'm running Accordance 13.1.2 on Windows 10 x64 (Version 10.0.18363 Build 18363) on a Dell Latitude E6540. If I select, let's say, Mark 1:9 (ESV) and do "Ctrl + Alt + C" to copy as a citation, then paste it... Here is what I get: “And it me to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan.” (Mark 1:9) If I just do a "regular" (Ctrl + C) copy, then I get this: And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan. Notice that came is truncated to me when copied as a citation. In addition, if copying a larger passage as a citation, the spaces between verses are removed, like so: “And it me to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan. And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. And immediately the Spirit driveth him into the wilderness. And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.” (Mark 1:9–13) Notice in the passage above that between every verse the period is squished right up against the beginning of the next verse without a space. This is quite problematic, because I have to proofread every citation! I'm hoping there's a simple fix for this. I've attached a screenshot showing my preferences panel for "Copy as Citation" as well my text selection that results in the pasted passage above. Thanks!

    OneNote

Has anyone experienced issues copying text from Accordance in Windows and pasting it into OneNote? Selected text will copy and paste fine on Mac OS but not on my PC. Not sure whether the issue is with OneNote as other programs will paste into it fine.
  6. OK, this is a weird one. I had Accordance 11, and had a problem copy/paste from Accordance. As soon as I would try, it shut down by ability to copy/paste systemwide, and gave me an "error #5 in scrap routines" message. At first I thought it was my copy of Accordance just being behind everything, so I upgraded to 13. Same problem. Copy/paste works globally until I try it in Accordance, and it crashes globally until I restart the process. This time, there are no errors being thrown. I've tried to uninstall/reinstall accordance, and did a system check for corrupt files or viruses with no success. Anyone else out there have this problem, or might have some suggestions?
  7. Hi, all, I want to print a copy of one chapter to PDF. (Or, alternatively, copy to clipboard so I can paste it into a another app.) I get this warning. I have a hunch what it's saying is that the whole book (!) would be printed. How can I select a chapter without – I would hope – having to click and scroll through it all? Seems it should be possible to click on the one chapter in the table of contents and do it that way. Thanks for any help you can offer! I did end up clicking OK, and after Accordance just about overheated my computer and sent me the multi-colored beach ball a-spinning, it seems it allows me to print 30 pages, but it starts at the beginning of the book.
  8. Would love the ability to right click copy a word or translation directly from the Instant Details screen rather than having extra steps to first copy the whole thing into a clipboard and then having to open it in another application than selecting word or phrase. Please let me know your thoughts.
  9. When I edit user notes text and insert some custom Bible links, like "Ap.d. 2:3" as a link to "Acts 2:3", then select all text, copy it and paste as a new user note for another verse, all custom links are gone, links become just a blue underlined text without any links to any Bible verse. Could you please fix this bug?

    Citation copy problems

““For if you rgive others for their transgressions” —Matthew 6:14 NAS95 This is what happens when I use the citation copy and paste. Sometimes it leaves letters out. It does not matter what application I am pasting to. The above citation had the same result in MS Word for Mac and then here again on my forum post. I have tried different citation settings in the preferences, but can't find anything that changes the outcome. Does citation not work for partial verses? Although I think it leaves out letters when I copy complete verses as well. I was hoping today's update would resolve this, but it does not. ===== Let me add this again for the record. For a multi hundred dollar piece of software that is used for precision text work, I would expect copy and paste to work, and I would expect better text export options. I am a recent BW user trying to adjust to Accordance. I really like so much of this software so far and some of my frustration centers on my being behind the learning curve.
  11. Say I've got several Bible modules up in parallel, and I want to copy a verse or range of verses from one of them to the clipboard. I know I can use Cmd - Opt - A and put in the reference and copy, but if I'm already at that location, that seems labor intensive. I thought maybe right click or two-finger click to bring up the context menu would do it, but "Copy" there seems only to apply if you've selected something.
  12. Hello, Dearest Accordance iOS developers: First, just to let you know, I love the work you've done porting Accordance to iOS so much that I've dropped my laptop altogether (passed it on to my wife, actually) and I now ONLY use my iPad. I've known that I would lose some functionality that way, but I haven't really missed anything up until now
  13. I did a basic word search (for a specific example, I searched =הַ =מְרִי in BHS-4, though this behaviour occurred in other instances as well) and tried to use some of the "Copy As" features, but nothing worked, both trying the hot key (eg ctrl+alt+r) and using the right-click menu. It allows me to click the option, but then nothing gets carried over into the clipboard. Is this something that comes up only for Accordance Lite? What Works: Regular copying (Ie ctrl+c), Transliteration, Instant Details, Location URL What doesn't Work: Every other "Copy As" option Accordance 12.3.4 Lite Windows 7 (running as VirtualBox VM Guest on an Ubuntu 18 host if that matters); Dell Optiplex 7060 Thanks for your help!
  14. I used to be able to copy as citation or copy as bibliography when copying from a commentary. I've not changed any of my settings. I have citation enabled in preferences. I am using the latest accordance (12.3.4). But when I copy as citation, I only get the text copied with no citation. When I copy as bibliography, I get nothing. Any ideas? I'm not attempting to copy Bible text, but from commentaries. I've tried several, and none contain the bibliography or citation information when I paste.
  15. Ever since I got Accordance two years ago, and with every subsequent update, I have had issues with the "Copy>Copy as Citation" function. Anytime I paste it, it randomly removes spaces. See below the text of Eph. 1:3-10. The space is removed between "places," and "even"; "love" and "he"; "Beloved." and "In" and so on. What's very frustrating is that for some reason only a handful will be caught by the spell check so I will often print and distribute documents with these annoying typos. Any help? (I use a Mac) “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In lovehe predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insightmaking known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christas a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.” (Ephesians 1:3–10 ESV)
  16. Hello to all! Can I export the verses' text from one selection with crossrefs? e.g. I have the following selection: I want to export the verses' text of those selected crossref o 'copy as verses text'. Is there some way to do that? Regards!
  17. When I cut text (right click highlighted text and choose cut) from papers and paste (ctrl-v) into a new spot in that same paper, Accordance almost always hangs (crashing) for me. It hangs for so long I have to use task manager to shut Accordance down. Accordance 12.2.3.1 Windows 10 PS No issue with same text when I revert back to 12.1.5
  18. Hi, To copy Latvian Bible (2012) text, I have to click and drag the cursor, to select the text I want to copy. But if there is an asterisk (*) with a note in the text, sometimes Accordance shows Notes popup and I can't select the remaining text, which is behind the popup. Even if I continue to drag the cursor below the popup window, selection is done, but Command+C doesn't work as long as the popup window is on the screen. Have to click on the toolbar to dismiss it. Selecting text from the end backward works fine, no popup windows with the text notes. Can you do something here?

    Copy as Citation

Copy as Citation is great. And the customization on this is wonderful. But there's one more that would be a big winner. Right now Copy as Citation wipes clean any formatting. But does it have to? It would be great to preserve the formatting (e.g. HITS color, poetic layout, etc.) Thanks!
  20. I cannot paste text from Accordance to Word for Windows running in Parallels on a Mac. I CAN paste just fine from Accordance into OS X apps, and from other OS X apps into Parallels and vice versa. While I have Word for Mac (which works just fine), I prefer to use the more feature-rich Windows version. Any help getting this resolved would be greatly appreciated. I'm new to the Forums, and this is my first post. Thanks a bunch! I am running: Accordance 11.2.5 OS X 10.11.6 Windows 7 Word 7 Parallels 9

    Copy Lex

At present if I select a word I can amplify the lex or I can search for the lex. But I'd like to be able to copy the lex. With the app being all someone needs to blow through the text, grabbing vocab on the go would be great. I remember this being on the older iOS so if moved please let me know. If it went away, please bring it back. Thanks!

    Copy/Paste Instant Details

Hi all, When I copy/past from the Instant Details window, I click the clipboard icon in the upper right hand corner. Everything works great, but it copies the translation in brackets and the superscript, too. I only want the reference, as if I was copying from the text itself. I'm attaching a screenshot for the sake of clarity. Thanks!
  23. Is there a way to save text (or copy) as rtf without the highlights removed? In other words, is there are way to preserve the highlights (e.g., as background colours) when exporting a text.
  24. I am fairly new at using user notes and tools, and was wondering what is the easiest way to get Bible verses into them? When I copy into Pages/Word/Keynote, I use the wonderful services created by Joe Weeks. Is there a way to do something similar in user notes/tools - to import a verse or range of verses directly into the note or tool without having to go into another Accordance window, go to the desired text, and then selecting and copying it? In Christ, Bret
  25. Using Accordance for iOS, when I copy multiple verses for pasting into my word processor or presentation software, every verse gets a full reference (e.g. Mic 6:1...Mic 6:2...etc.). This did not happen prior to a recent upgrade, when I would get a full reference at the start, with simple verse numbers through the text. What are the appropriate settings changes I need to make to get back to the older method? Thanks Robert
