Help with defining search in the Hebrew Bible
Steven Lascombe posted a topic in General Accordance Topics
Hi everyone, After a couple of videos, I still wasn't able to figure out how to search for the association of two words in a specific book. For example, I'm trying to find when the word "שמע " is associated (in a verse) with "יהוה" in the book of deuteronomy. So far, I was only able to find for this command : שמע [RANGE deut] . What am I missing ? Have a great day, Thanks- 5 replies

The HITS Command is a powerful thing, allowing for interaction between different searches and a whole lot of other sophisticated inquiries. Part of the fun is the three modifiers: Keys, Inflected, and Tags. But to me there is seems to be missing an important option: roots. I'd love to see Roots added so that I could take all the Roots I found in one search and drop them in another search. Thanks!

Hello I am trying to make a simple search of the words "power" and "voice" with the help of the command <WITHIN> in NASB, and I have tried a various number of words in the brackets. I get no new results above WITHIN 30 words. In Jer 10:12–13 we have these two words within the range of 30 words, but Accordance does not find that reference in the search. Am I doing something wrong?

[Accordance 10: Intermediate] Accordance's [RANGE ?] Command and Range Search Condition make it possible to study groups of Bible or text passages, including non-contiguous passages. Imagine being able to study all the prayers of the Bible together, the Scripture readings for the Feast of Tabernacles, or all the passages pertaining to Ephesus. In this podcast, Dr. J explains how to use the Range feature to do just that—including designing our own custom ranges. http://youtu.be/oL502IaZVv8
