  1. I have the Essentials Collection so I already have the Complete Tyndale Commentary. My question is: Is the Word Biblical Commentary Complete Set a really good commentary? I know it is very highly rated on bestcommentaries.com, but I wanted to get some feedback from some of you who have used both, or if there is a complete commentary set you would recommend over the WBC that is affordable. The WBC 58 volume set would just be $480 with the 20% off until Monday. Seems like a really good deal, but I want to be conservative with what I add in terms of cost because there comes a point where you can just get more than you can use. Thanks in advance for your feedback!
  2. I’d LOVE to see Richard Elliott Friedman’s Commentary on the Torah available. Anyone familiar with it? It’s a translation and commentary published by Harper Collins in 2001. It’s a great Jewish/scholarly translation that blends the accuracy and language of Everett Fox with the flow of the JPS. Friedman’s comments are few and concise, sometimes a bit longer, but always insightful. I’d really like to have it in Accordance. He was my professor at UC San Diego and is now in Georgia, but I could help by contacting him if needed. Some links: Amazon page (four stars from 29 reviews) Dr. Friedman’s page, including the book blurbs from scholars such as the late David Noel Freedman, editor of the Anchor Bible. (Dr. Freedman looked over every page of Dr. Friedman’s book!) Wikipedia page on Friedman Thanks!
  3. I have the first edition of the Expository Bible Commentary Set (EBC) and I am considering to upgrade to the revised. In what ways is the revised edition better? Are the differences worth the $460 on the Accordance platform? Thanks

    Best Commentary

I would like to take advantage of the 20% off sale and would like to get a really good COMMENTARY SET. I have the Essential Collection so I already have the Tyndale Module. I just would like to know from some of you who have a lot of experience with some of the available commentary sets to give me some guidance on a set that would be the best bang for my buck. I am not a pastor, but do some teaching, and am a student of the Bible. I have always used paper copies up until recently. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Jeff Alabama
  5. Frederick Dale Bruner's commentaries on Matthew (2 vol) and John (1 vol) are absolutely wonderful. Is there any chance that these are in the pipeline or possibilities in the future?
  6. 1) Could you please check the "New Testament for Everyone" commentary by N. T. Wright? Many spelling mistakes. Often two words are typed together. 2) And could you please increase thumbnail image quality? They are over compressed. Use less JPG compression. I don't think the overall commentary file size will grow by more than 1-2 MB, but thumbnails will look much better. Also larger images could use a notch less compression, sometimes compression artefacts start creeping in. P.S. Between 1 and 2 I inserted n-dash, but when I posted this message, it was removed and I ended up with 12 MB instead of 1-2 MB. Why your web form is filtering out n-dashes?
  7. Be great to get this wondeful three volume commentary of the Psalms by Goldingay on Accordance. The link to the amazon page is http://www.amazon.com/Psalms-Baker-Commentary-Testament-Wisdom/dp/0801036070/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1390292056&sr=8-2-fkmr1&keywords=goldingay+bach Thanks for all the hard work!
