  1. I have never received any syncing error messages, but I continually find "Recovered files" upon restarting my MacBook. There used to be multiple files recovered. I have since cleaned up and removed some sample and user notes files which resolved most of my issues. The remaining file that continually gets recovered is: Current Session.accord. I always close the Accordance program before shutting down my MacBook. Dropbox syncing takes place successfully and it appears to be updated on Dropbox correctly. Any ideas on how to resolve this continual recovered file issue on Mac OS? Acc 12.0.2, Mac OS 10.12.2 (although this issue has also occurred before updating, from Acc 11.X.X & Mac OS 10.11.X) Thank you for your time. Michael
  2. Hello I'm using accordance 12 on windows 10 and I expected that I can use my user bible on my IPad. But the menu "sync with mobile device" is not working. why? It can not recognize any other device such as IPhone. How can I use user bible on my IPad if I have accordance12 for windows?

    Syncing with Dropbox

When I have synced my iPhone (via Dropbox), second time I try to sync it says there is nothing to sync. OK, everything's synced. But my Mac always finds something to sync. Even if I have synced it five times in a row. Could you improve here?
  4. Hi there, If I have multiple usernote editing windows open, is it possible to synchronize them when I click on 'next note' or 'add note'. For example, if I have three sets of user notes open and being edited--my translation, my syntax diagram, and comments--I'd like to be able to click 'add note' on just one of them, and all of them progress to the next verse. Thanks Daniel
  5. Accordance Windows keeps just deleting my highlight files in Dropbox when I try Dropbox syncing.
  6. Hi, I'm having trouble getting my highlights to sync across two macs via Dropbox. Both are running version 11, linked to Dropbox, and have "highlights" and "user notes" ticked in the syncing preferences. After linking computer B, I ran a Dropbox sync on computer A. However: The highlights are nowhere to be found (visibly or by searchign by style)—do I need to recreate exactly every highlight style on computer B before it will notice my custom highlight styles from computer A? Also, the user notes are not syncing. On computer B, when I go to Amplify, User Notes (in a module for which I've made notes on computer A), it tells me: "The User Notes files "My Notes" cannot be used, because it does not include the kind of texts shown in the selected pane." What am I missing? Thanks! Tim
  7. Hi. Since I've updated to the new version of accordance my notes no longer sync between my Mac and iOS. They were syncing fine via dropbox before and I don't get any error messages when I sync, but the notes I create on the iOS don't import onto the Mac and vice versa. I've already tried unlinking and re-linking the iOS account. Any suggestions?
  8. When in split pane view, while scrolling in one pane the other pane is always lagging behind. I would appreciate the ability to lock the two scrolling panes to scroll together (synchronized) at the same time please.
  9. I have made several highlights in my ESV text. When I sync the text in IOS, it does not bring over my highlights. Must my desktop highlights be exported to mobile highlights?
  10. I'm trying to sync my Mac version (latest version of Accordance as of this date) to the iPhone for the first time. I wanted to test things out so I created a test note on Genesis 1:24 on my iPhone and then opened the Sync tool on the phone and on the computer. They see one another and I click to connect from the computer. It warns me that this is the first time I've synced this phone, which it is. I click on OK it brings up the dialog box to choose what to sync. I've tried syncing only notes and then I tried syncing just one notes file and both times it warned me that I had to have at least one text installed on my phone. I know I do because I'm reading the ESV on my phone. But I checked it anyway and then it returns the same error every time no matter what I check to sync. It says "There was an error while Accordance tried to use user content file from the device" and then says below that "Please contact technical support to help you resolve this issue."
  11. About 1.5 weeks ago my user notes stopped syncing from my laptop (2011 MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite). My iOS devices continue to sync the files properly. When I make a change to a user note on my laptop and select sync, I receive the message, "nothing to sync." I've unlinked and re-linked Accordance to my Dropbox account to no avail. Please help me to diagnose and fix this issue. Thanks.
  12. I just tried to sync from Mac v. 11.0.3 to an iPhone via Accordance > Sync with Mobile Device (i.e., both the Mac and the iPhone are on the same WiFi connection). I got an error message saying to contact support. Text of message: "There was an error while Accordance tried to resolve a Bonjour service. Please contact technical support to help you resolve this issue." (BTW, I probably will contact support; I just thought they'd appreciate it if we could figure it out via the forums. I'll wait a while before contacting them.) I thought it might be Little Snitch, so I shut off filtering by Little Snitch (i.e. all connections go through). Accordance recognized the mobile device. Since I had not synced since upgrading from Snow Leopard to Mavericks, Accordance thought this was a new device. So I told it to erase and sync. Accordance started to sync. However, it did not finish (although I thought it had). When I looked at the iPhone, everything was the same as it had been back in SL days. I had to leave for a while, so when I came back, I tried to sync again. This time shutting off Little Snitch filtering didn't help at all. I get the same error message. So maybe it's something else? Any ideas? Thanks.

    Syncing User Bibles

Hello, First of all, I really appreciate Dropbox syncing for Windows! However, it seems that it does not sync user bibles yet. Is it correct? Do I need to wait for some time before this feature is implemented? Thank you in advance. Shalom, Joseph
  14. I synced Accordance on my iPad 4 (iOS 7) with my Mac (OS X 10.9.3). Then I installed OS X 10.10 but the same evening decided to downgrade back to 10.9.3. So I restored system from the Time Machine disk. Few days later I wanted to sync few newly purchased modules to my iPad, but Accordance showed a warning that this iPad has been synced to another Mac and will erase all its content. The same message popped up when I tried to sync with my iPhone. It means that not everything is restored. Somehow Accordance has lost info that this is the same Mac. Could you please fix this bug?
  15. I use Accordance on both my laptop and a desktop pretty heavily in preparing class lessons and sermons, and on my iPad when preaching and teaching class. I am thankful to have such a resource available. Recent versions have added some new features (and improved older ones) that have proven very helpful to me. One in particular has been the ability to sync user modules between devices through Dropbox. What option I would really like to see added is the ability to sync the organization and structure of the library across computers (and devices if possible) as well. I have quite a few modules in my library, including a good number of user tools, that would make such functionality very helpful in keeping my user experience the same between computers/devices. As I use my software, I do find myself re-organizing from time to time as my focus of study changes, and a recent baseline system reinstall has me paying in man hours to get my library set back up the way I want it. The ability to sync the ordering and organization of the library would help make an already very good user experience that much more of a polished experience. CAVEATS (two that I can see right off): I understand that many people may not keep all of their modules on their different computers, and certainly not on their iOS devices, but I believe the ordering and organization could still be maintained based both on the location within the library where it is included, and the identification of a "master" library. I also understand that this may need to be considered an optional thing to sync since some individuals may use their desktop and laptop installations quite differently (ie. remote scholarly research vs. home devotional study), and therefore arrange their libraries differently to better suit those needs. Thank you for considering, and for an excellent product.
  16. Please make Sync dialogs on iPhone shorted. «Sync all content with Accordance» and «Sync user content with Dropbox» are so long that they don't even fit on the menu, first one goes across the whole screen. It could be shorter: «Sync with Accordance» «Sync with Dropbox» Then in the next dialog popup in small letters explain what will it do, for example: SYNCHRONIZE WITH DROPBOX? This will sync all user content with Dropbox Cancel | Sync
  17. Today I was highlighting text and Dropbox synced highlighter file in the background, and suddenly Accordance crashed and cannot be opened anymore. This is what I got in my local Dropbox folder: Studies (Guntis Bukalders's conflicted copy).hlt (963KB) Studies.hlt (163KB) The same files are also in the /Users/Guntis/Documents/Accordance Files/Highlights folder. 18. I open Romans 8:9 on my Mac. Then I sync Accordance for Mac with the Dropbox, after syncing Accordance opens to Mat 12:9 which is where I was on my iPhone. In the Search field I still see Romans 8:9, so I place cursor there and press Enter button. Nothing happens, text doesn't move back to Matt 12. I have to change verse number to get back. Please fix this. Somehow Accordance assumes it's already at Matt 12:9 while after the syncing it's not.
  19. Hi all, This morning I realized that notes I had taken on my iPad were not properly syncing with the my notes file on my Macbook. I think this has something to do with the .acc4 extension, which I had overlooked until now. I managed to merge a notes file from my Macbook with another file of the same name plus the .acc4 extension from my iPad. That brought the notes from the iPad in, but it also created the problem of duplicating all the notes the two files already shared. Could someone tell me where I went wrong, whether there is any way to delete duplicate notes, and/or how I should set things up differently? Many thanks! Jonathon

    User notes a mess

I have updated my iphone, iPad, and iMac to latest versions of all software. Since updating I can't get my user notes right on all devices. I use dropbox and sync "user notes." I currently have a user note for 2 Peter 1:1 that reads, "TEST!" I see it on the iMac. I sync dropbox from iMac and it appears to sync as usual. I then sync on the iPad, and no note for 2 Peter although all my other notes for other books are there. Same thing for my iPhone. What are steps you might recommend for resolving this issue? Thanks a ton!
  21. SORRY! It turns out that the update has disabled Dropbox link. Had to enable it again. All syncs again as intended. ___________________________ Both iPad and iPhone app versions don't sync. I press Sync button on both devices, and I get the following popup: Accordance Sync Waiting for Accordance… [Cancel]

    iCloud?

As a matter of curiosity, the release notes for the iOS 1.6 app mention both dropbox and iCloud. I've got the picture with the former, but what's the iCloud bit about? There's nothing in the Acc help about it.
  23. I have actually had everything in place to sync iOS with OSX via Dropbox for sometime but didn't realise it. A few months ago I moved my Accordance OSX files into Dropbox in order to have an automatic backup. Recently it struck me that if I moved those files into the Accordance folder used by the iOS app (Dropbox > Apps > Accordance) then iOS and OSX would be sharing folders and therefore files. iOS has fewer folders but all of the same name as OSX so the folder hierarchy is the compatible with both apps. **Warning: if you do this make sure you sync the apps using the normal method offered within Accordance first so you don't lose information in either app.** I tried this and it works. Not only that but it synchronised a complex highlight file from OSX to iOS that I hadn't been able to synchronise within Accordance. On Mac files will auto sync, but on iOS you will have to sync as normal. If you haven't already you will need to link the iOS Accordance app to Dropbox - do this before moving folders across on OSX.
  24. Greetings, I just synced a user note created in Accordance for Mac with my iPad. I found the user note on my iPad by going to the library, but when I open the bible text I don't see the little red dot next to the actual verse the way it shows next to the verses that have sample user notes. Plus, the little red dot does show next the actual verse on my Mac. (By the way the user note I created is is a "My Mobile Notes" user note). This is troublesome because this way I'm forced to remember each verse in which I created a user note. Then I'm forced to go to the library to view it. Shouldn't I rather be able to see the little red dot next to the verse on my iPad and then from right there be able to view my user note. Questions: 1) How do I get the little red dot to show next to the verse on my iPad? 2) How do I view the user note from right there in the bible text, without exiting the text and going through the library? Thank You
  25. I'm assuming that when one adds or edits a user note on an iOS device the dropbox file should update instantly, or almost? Is this correct? Last night I added a note on my iPad. It would now appear that the dropbox file didn’t update. A manually initiated dropbox sync was apparently needed to get the changes to the dropbox file.
